You guys are arguing over the weight of an ash can.

Loved this. The art is beyond what other books are doing right now. Looks like it snuck under a lot of people's radar, no clue how that's possible but there really aren't that many copies out there and they are selling fast.

Detective 940 is a powerful read. I loved it but it's definitely going to be....divisive.
I think TEC is the best re-launch. It had me from the first issue and hasn't let go.
Totally agreed. Detective Comics is the best book since rebirth launched.
I'd follow that up with Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Batman. Though Batman had a huge payoff to its arc and King is obviously playing the long game with Gotham Girl, so in the short term it's not that great, in the long run it may end up being the best.

Looks like someone is pre-selling them on the bay now, he must have picked quite a few of both Secret Sets.
i shouldn't make rash judgements and jump to conclusions. Who knows.

I'm down to
BATMAN
DETECTIVE COMICS
SUPERMAN
ACTION COMICS
WONDER WOMAN (Frison covers only)
And intermittent issues here and there.

Anyone seen confirmation of the variants?
Think this is the best of the covers I've seen:
I ordered all of the covers before they released the art. This variant is so flipping cool. Holeeeeee .

Nightwing is fantastic and IMHO the best Rebirth book. As others have as if Batgirl is too hipster for me.
What's hipster about her? She's in Asia trying to get into underground fighting? The story doesn't make all that much sense but it's not like she's sitting around listening to the smiths.

Yeah I forgot All -Star, I'm sticking with that also and getting the Jock and Shelvey covers for now.
-
yeah I guess they'd have to finish the arc with Jon where they figure out why his powers sputter out before he gets sent on missions.
I've noticed a lot of the prices have dipped even for Batman 1. I think Rebirth are comics you need to just be patient with and not blowout for 50% of cover. Should be at least a few titles that will garner more heat as time goes on. I'm in for the first 5 issues of all of them anyways.
I'm going first 10 for all. Then dropping a few.
I'm definitely keeping
batman
Detective Comics
Superman
Action Comics
The Flash
and Wonder Woman is on the fence
I will be picking up Titans, Aquaman and Green Arrow selectively.

I really am pissed at this decision as well. It's his book and his creation but invincible should continue. I have every single issue and looked forward to handing those down to my son or daughter some day and having them collect the issues that are still coming out. Sort of my superman/spider-man. This book came out right when I was coming of age. Seriously it helped so much.

would like some updates on JSA, LSH and Super Sons...
Supersons and JSA was pushed back to early 2017 to give the rest of rebirth some breathing room. Makes sense. This staggered launching is kind of brilliant.

issue 2
Black Hammer, home to my favorite chain smoking 9 year old
Oh man do I love GG. That was an awesome issue. This would make a hell of a movie. Like possible Oscar contender.

Millar's all about that movie dollar now though surely? Isn't all of his output ticking boxes and limited so he can move onto the next thing.
I don't know, Reborn has Capullo excited and any book that has him excited has me having a little bit of hype.

The current run of Detetcive Comics is going to be looked back at and highly sought after when people read it in trades.

Did anyone read the new Deathstroke Rebirth?
I'm not great at reviews, but I felt it was on par with Wolfmans original version of Deathstroke, far better than the pants that was churned out it in the last 2 series.
I think Priest has done well, and I have high hope for this series
And finally, Wintergreen is back
I read it. It was pretty damn awesome.

more pages, more money
Almost twice the amount of pages?
Any of this weeks books or variants recommended or you have stopped reading?
The jock variant for all star batman and the terry Dodson variant for superwoman are my musts this week.

I'll be seeing Rob Guillory at a con in October. Any suggestions on what to have signed etc? I don't have chew 1. But have a good amount of the rest of the series. Anyone need anything signed?

Ok so Harley Quinn #1 has sold 400k copies.
With the pudding variant being limited to only 1k, what is that ratio? 1:400?!?
I could be wrong but I didn't see any other variants limited to that low of a number. I know technically it's not a ratio variant but just found that interesting.

The joker cover is pretty amazing. Is it just me or does it look like Turner had put in multiple bat like symbols into the jokers tie, mouth, and forehead? Maybe I'm looking into it more than I should but it seems that way and if so it's even more badass.

Yeah, foils are doing well...course the one set I ordered from ebay went from AZ to CA on its way to Ohio...so not sure what to think about that.
Don't you take vacations during the summer too? Cedar Point is pretty awesome...
no vacations here...I work 7 days a week.
Vacations are essential

So I was down in Connecticut for a wedding over the weekend and we stopped at Newbury comics in MA on the way back north yesterday. They had a DC 50% off sale all week that ended on Sunday, lucked out on that one. Grabbed my Red Hood, and picked up all the A covers of Detective #935-937 and Wonder Woman #1-3 for $1.49 a piece. Super happy since I don't have those titles on my pull list and they're always sold out of cover A when I go to my LCS after work on Wednesdays.
Good god that's a great sale. That's dcbs deals in store.
1:10, 1:25, 1:50, 1:100 are DISTRIBUTION numbers, not PRINT RUN numbers.

You could give an estimate in the form of an estimate of X number of variants printed with a error of X over and X under.
Think of chomicron as polling data and the ratios as sample sizes. Or something. I'm not great at math. But I didn't do that terrible in statistics. Someone will get what I'm trying to say and explain it better.
