  1. I guess it's not in your date range, but ASM v2 #36 would be one for a general modern era comic.
  2. It's the artist himself selling it. He states it's a Pre-Sale, so the CGC logo is just photoshopped in for now. Also, that ended at almost $900. That is insane,
  3. Even worse frankly. $550 bucks for a signed copy... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Quinn-25th-Anniversary-1-CGC-9-8-SS-signed-GREG-HORN-1st-and-only-one-/362092029523?hash=item544e5de653
  4. Best ones he's done in a while. That price point vs quantity is insane though. Think I'll wait for some slightly damaged copies to make their way to EBay for cheap.
  5. That's true. It could be ink from stacking I guess. Is that usually a guaranteed grade ding?
  6. Hi Guys, Got a question regarding a printer smudge on a book. The book is a solid 9.6-9.8 otherwise, but there's a small smudge of ink from the printing process. Was curious how bad this would affect the grade.
  7. Joshua Middleton's Harley Anniversary Cover for Forbidden Planet:
  8. As I understand it, the core books are self contained, and the rest just fill in backstory and side arcs.
  9. Well glad you got it! It's been years since I worked at the PO, but you probably could argue for a refund, at least on the Registered portion since it sounds like it wasn't honored. Is there a postage cost on the package? If it's a flat rate USPS box, it should be around $28 with registered mail with $500 insurance. If it's only around $12, then CGC screwed you. As for the PO, keep the faith. They process over 500,000,000 mail pieces per day.
  10. Registered or Certified? There's a big difference there. If it's Registered and it goes missing, that's a big frickin' deal for the USPS. I used to work at a PO, and Registered mail were literally locked up in a safe and there's a paper trail of every person who handles it. If that gets lost, you should have zero trouble getting insurance money for that. They should also have no trouble finding out who had it last and getting more info. Certified is none of that other than a record of it being sent. When was the last record of it? I also wouldn't worry too much yet. Sometimes just due to the sheer volume of mail, things get lost temporarily or put in limbo on accident. An unscanned packaged is also not that rare. Eventually things get righted. I recently had a lost package that turned out to be sitting at the PO for a month.
  11. Depends if it's featuring female Thor or male Thor. He can draw males well, but the demand is way lower for them. Either way, I'd wait two months and the cost will be down to manageable prices.
  12. Agreed, it's very generic for a Del Otto. Mattina's my favorite so far.
  13. Anyone else really excited for this? Seems like this could be a pretty big event for DC with long term reprecussions. It almost seems like its DC's version of Edge of Venom-Verse with the evil Batmen Justice League except that it's going to be cannon.
  14. Congrats! I guess it depends on how much effort you want to put into flipping the ones you don't want into cash. Are you potentially okay with taking the time and effort to sell 25 books to make an additional $100-200 profit?
  15. I like A. Glad that's the cheapest one. I wonder if this is going to be the mystical 4th Convention exclusive D cover issue?
  16. $1495 to attend the JSC luncheon. WTF? What a great way to alienate your fanbase.
  17. Anyone else get an email about the JSC VIP Luncheon during SDCC?
  18. Over $100 shipped for the signed set after the promo code. 3,450 copies of A, 3,050 copies of B, and 1,700 of C. I dig the covers, but I'll wait for the inevitable price drop on Ebay.
  19. You're lucky. My set looked like someone dropped on their corners then stepped on it for all three copies before packaging it up. Needless to say i won't buy from them again.
  20. I'd assume it's going to be a full body shot MJ in her Spidey outfit, smiling, and not showing her feet. The "ultra rare" version will have some of the other Avengers sketched in the background.
  21. I think what irks me more than the upping of quantity is the fact that he's pricing them at $90 and dropping his discount code value when the retail price of the book is $5. I could *maybe* buy the increase with ASM 25 since it's a $10 book, but not this one. I'm glad I like his A and B covers more, because those go for way less than retail on Ebay a month after it's released.
  22. Ratio, hand's down. I'd say exclusives hold their value, but not much more. In general, that's true for all artists though.
  23. So I guess this is Marvel's new way of trying to artificially inflate numbers? Sell one comic and you get 2,000 regular editions for free? https://www.dcbservice.com/product/mar171014/venom-150-bagley-sketch-var
  24. As a warning, the last exclusives I bought from Decomixado didn't come bagged and boarded and were shipped pretty flimsily.
