  1. One more big drop before I close this and send it over to (fe)eBay. Free shipping in the US, and I will knock $5 off actual costs to ship internationally.
  2. Alright...lots of page views, and no "takes". So, I am priced too high. Let's go with $120, and I will ship in the US via USPS Priority Mail for free. Thanks for looking.
  3. Lower grade book with spine roll and lots of chipping. Tanning throughout. Everything is there and attached, though cover and pages are getting loose with staple tears. Classic cover. I think 1.5, but could go a step in either direction I guess. $140 OBO Now $90 shipped in the US
  4. Shipping will be at the cost of the buyer. For US shipments, I typically go USPS 1st class in a bubble mailer starting at $4.50. Priority also available. I will ship outside the US. Not trying to make any money on shipping, so I am happy to work with you, but 100% of the cost will be on you. PayPal is easiest, but I'll take a check or MO if that's what you want. I'll accept returns, but shipping is on the buyer unless I made an error in the listing. First “I’ll take it” in the thread wins, and those would trump any ongoing PM negotiations. No buyers from the bad lists.

Not sure how many times I have bought from Ed, but it is several now. I just got my latest purchase, and it was well graded, well packed and well priced. You can't ask for much more.
  6. 3.5 for me...leaning higher if anything.
  7. Thanks, all. Strongly considering a clean and press on this book, and on my Hulk 2 that I've had for a while. Then off to CGC for the both of them. I had it at 3.0, but I am probably being optimistic. I tend to be that way on keeper books.
  8. My first thought was 4.0, but @newshane is probably right re: the stain and @Gnasher on the nibbles. My personal opinion is that it won't get dropped all the way to 2.5, though. 3.0 - 3.5 is where I would fall, leaning toward the 3.5.
  9. Such great eye appeal, I am glad the spine split didn't kill you. I would have guess 4.5 based on that defect alone, but so much prettier. Congrats!
  10. @Gnasher and @1950's war comics How much are you guys downgrading for the foxing? This is a defect I am just not as comfortable with understanding how far down I should go. Structurally, I believe this book is quite a bit better than 6.0. Maybe that's because I have it in hand. But, if the foxing is worth 1.0-2.0 points, then we are on the same page. Let me know what you think here, and thanks again for the help.
  11. Yeah, the last few months have been ridiculous. Usually, I find a small handful of books in this place that should be $5-15 for $1-3, or I find some higher dollar books that are priced right on the edge of where I would be comfortable. I have only bought in this shop occasionally over the years, but lately it has been great. I found out that one of the dealers had a husband pass away. She is SLOWLY but surely putting his stuff up for sale. The comics are only part, I guess. So, I would like to just get a look at the whole collection, and get a chance to pick it. But, I think I will have to be content with her bringing in a stack every couple weeks. The Strange Tales stack was a NICE surprise. Most has been bronze/copper runs. Nothing too exciting. This dealer had the one Fox romance book, and I have grabbed a few Sgt Fury 12c issues at sub-$5 prices. But the Strange Tales stack was a bonanza. I think there are some upgrades for my ST125 - 160 run, but I have to go back and check them out with a list in hand. The Crime Mysteries and Astonishing were from another dealer altogether who prices his stuff WAY too high. Those two just happened to be special. I was happy to pay his prices for that pair of books.
  12. I had little choice last night. Basement was my only option, and overhead lights were all I had.
