It's very difficult to say definitively. I don't think there is rust migration (though there might be rust), but the staining from the moisture is worst right at that bottom staple. Here are some close ups to try and show it as best as possible.

Star Wars Dark Empire II #s 1 - 6. This is a reader set. All have wear. #4 has a UPC sticker covering the UPC box. #3 has a blank UPC box. #2 looks to be a newsstand. Not a high grade book in the stack, so buy them to read them and preserve your keeper set. $18

Star Wars Dark Empire #s 1, 2 (2nd print), 3, 4, 6. Pretty nice set, but missing #5 and a few issues here and there. These cardstock covers show everything. ! was a small corner bend on the back cover. all are at least 8.5/9.0, and a c couple are nicer. $40

Star Wars Adventures Destroyer Down, Loot Crate exclusive, still sealed in polybag. High grade, squarebound graphic novel style. $5

Star Wars Crimson Empire II set, #s 1 - 6 (1998). Looks like a very high grade set with just a stress mark or two here or there. $30

Star Wars #12 (1999) COPY B. This one is not a newsstand, and has some more wear than the previous copy. Looks like it was in a long box without a bag for part of its life. Some color wear, some spine stress, some minor edge wear. I think it's probably in the 7.5-8.0 range. $8

Star Wars #11 (1999). This one is also a newsstand. A few spine stresses drop it to the 9.0 range. $6

Star Wars #9 (1999). This one is a Newsstand copy. See the corner ding at the top back spine area. 9.0, but looks nicer. $10

Star Wars #8 (1999). The logo says #2 of 6, but this is really #8 in the 1998 Dark Horse series. I guess this is really the 2nd appearance of Aurra Sing despite what I wrote earlier. Nice copy at the 9.4 range. $6

Star Wars The Protocol Offensive (1997). Big, squarebound, and either reading or storage has created some waviness to the cover. $2 or free with any purchase exceeding $10
