  1. Black Knight 4, 1955, Maneely cover. This one is similar to the #2 without the significant spine split. Beautifully presenting book. Some minor edge wear at the top, spine is delicate and not far from splitting in a couple places, but hasn't yet. Let's go 3.0 on sheer aging...no big flaws to drop it that far. Careful handling this one. Only 26 on the census. $200
  2. As I was taking pics, it was obvious the spine split was bigger than I first realized...I adjusted the post and price. If anyone saw the initial grade/price, my apologies for jumping the gun.
  3. Black Knight 2, 1955, Maneely cover. This one presents very nicely, with very little surface wear, and minimal chipping. The spine edge is more noticeably aged, and there is a split for about 3.5" below the top staple. Back cover similar with edge aging, and minimal to almost no chipping. Apr 17, 1955 (I think...the 17 isn't as clear) date stamp. Complete and attached. That spine just seems delicate. Let's call it 1.8. Census shows only 40 universal graded copies, and there are no raws on eBay (there is a nice 7.0, however). It's a "mylar all-star". $100
  4. Ok...I am going to list the three Black Knight books. I have a #1 as well that is listed on eBay. Mostly because I wanted to ask a pretty outrageous number, and see what happened. I have had a good offer already on the #1 that I haven't taken. If you want to try and talk me out of pulling the eBay listing, shoot me a PM here. These books are from the same collection, and have the same basic problems...pretty substantial edge aging. Give me a few minutes, and I will restart.
  5. I have a couple more books from this collection I am considering listing...anyone here that is interested to see? Here are the three...
  6. That's it for the Combat Kellys. There are 11 listed tonight, and none have been taken yet. Let's one-up last night's offer, and go 10% off plus free US shipping ($10 off actual international) if you buy all 11.
  7. Combat Kelly 36, 1956, Severin cover. Big piece missing bottom right corner, various chipping (especially back cover), tiny split at the top. Maybe 1.8? How big of a piece can you miss, and still get a 1.8? $10
  8. Combat Kelly 35, 1956, Heath cover. Corner piece missing, a couple other chips, spine pretty decent. 3.0...maybe a half grade better? Maybe not. $18
  9. Combat Kelly 34, 1955, Burgos cover. And we were on such a nice run. Spine completely split and detached. Corner piece missing. Interior much better than exterior. I have it at 1.0. $5
  10. Combat Kelly 33, 1955, Brodsky cover. A couple more chips, especially on/near spine, small tear back cover, and a couple interior tears that extend into the art (between 1" and 2" in length each), but nothing missing. No better than 3.0 on this one in my book. $18
  11. Combat Kelly 32, 1955, Burgos cover. A couple chips, looks like a pencil mark near spine about middle, more aging. The pages on all these are considerably better than the covers, and this one has some of the best pages in the lot. I have it at 4.0. $24 **SOLD VIA PM**
  12. Combat Kelly 31, 1955, Heath cover. Again, just really minimal wear. The aging is going to hold back this book with very few traditional flaws. A bit of spine wear, almost no chipping, a tiny bit of cover soiling. I think this is a 4.5 (not sure how I go any higher with the aging on these, but this one deserves it if you think it can go higher). $30 **SOLD**
  13. Combat Kelly 30, 1955, Brodsky cover. This one seems a bit worse on the aging...might be the light cover, but I think it's just suffered a bit more. See top and bottom of spine for a bit of damage, as well as more general spine wear on this one. Writing back cover (again, looks like an arrival date). I have it at 3.0. $18
  14. Combat Kelly 29. 1955, Maneely cover. More of the same. A spine chip and a lower right corner crease hold this one back a bit. 3.5...maybe 4.0. See writing top of back cover (I believe it's an arrival date). $21 **SOLD**
  15. Combat Kelly 28, 1955, Maneely cover. Another beautiful book from a structural standpoint. Less chipping and creasing than the previous two, but the aging all the way around the edges is at least as bad, if not a bit more. Another book that should be much higher grade than the 4.5 that I am giving it. Please review the aging to decide for yourselves on these. I think that is harder to judge than creases and tears. $30 **SOLD**
  16. Combat Kelly 27, 1954, Maneely cover. Another similar copy. This one has a great black cover that really should be high grade due to the lack of wear. The aging, and three of the four corners are chipped, holding it back. I am disappointed to give this beautiful book only a 4.0. $25
  17. Combat Kelly 26, 1954, Maneely cover. No spine splitting, but a chip at the very corner of both top and bottom of spine. Some creasing to cover corners, and a couple chips. Horizontal production wrinkle about mid way down from right edge. 3.0 is my grade. $19
  18. Alright...clean slate. Not sure how many I will get posted before the wine kicks in and I go to sleep, but I’ll see what we can do. I’m going to try and be quick here. If you need more info or pics, just ask. Conditions are similar with the aging on all these.
  19. That's all for tonight. #s 26 - 36 complete coming soon (hopefully tomorrow). In the meantime, I have eight books listed. Take them all at once for 5% off listed price PLUS free US shipping (or $10 credit on international shipping).
  20. Combat Kelly 25, 1954, Maneely cover. Pretty solid copy here. Staples are pretty offset to the front of the book, but well attached. Cover is similar to the others, but not split/detached. See the store arrival code in ink on cover, chip near the top staple, and at the top edge, and the bottom corners. Another book that is not worn, but aged. I have this one at 3.0. $18 **SOLD**
  21. Combat Kelly 24, 1954, Burgos cover. This one would be high grade if not for the tanning. Spine is sharp, cover is beautiful. There are a couple corner chips, a hint of a crease near the top left corner. Pages are supple. I think it's a 4.0 as it sits, but I admit that this is a guess. The structure is much better. Please review closely for yourself...I easily could be shortchanging this one. $22 **SOLD**
