As the header suggests, this will be a thread comprised mostly of true funnybooks, golden age funny animals and other humor comics (including Fritzi Ritz/Nancy books with Peanuts), mostly 1940's books with a few nice 50's Dells thrown in. I may also add a few Silver Age Scooby Doo and/or Archie after all GA is up, depending on how quickly I can move through. About two dozen books are shot so far, with an equal number to be photographed yet, so we will not see everything tonight. First wins, thread or PM; tie or indeterminate goes to the thread. PM negotiations welcome but takes trump. payment: check or money order; I do not have Paypal. Don't be listy including the little, one in my head. Shipping i-- one book via first class for $5; U.S. Priority thereafter. Canada ships at actual. Returns -- Sure, just notify me within three days of receipt and get it back in your dime in the same shape.

Bugs Bunny / Looney Tunes first appearances help
Readcomix replied to CAHokie's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Thank you; the dealer who had these 4 is a dead ene. He cannot recall how he got them, and he has no others. There is a collector in the same city in which she died who is known to buy collections and be a black hole. He has warehoused over 40,000 books. I haven't met him yet but we have spoken on the phone. We have a mutual friend who is introducing us; he says there's lots of funny animals in that "warehouse." Its a good possibility. -
Thx, busy morning and I didn't think of it. On the bright side, you dont get to see Superman spanking panels every day!

Bugs Bunny / Looney Tunes first appearances help

#15, another "B.L." Copy (Beverly Larson) and the last one whose location I knew of. The hunt is truly on now! -
FYI gang, just popped a one-book thread over in Copper/Modern featuring a sharp ASM #301 for a shipped price. If anyone who has taken here takes it, we will deduct $5 due to combined shipping savings. This thread will remain open until late afternoon (Eastern time) tomorrow (Saturday, Feb 9). Shortly after closure, later on tomorrow night, I will begin a shorter (perhaps three dozen books) thread of True Funnybooks -- Golden Age funny animals and humor books, including some of those Fritzi Ritz's and Nancy's with Peanuts pages. (I might slip a silver Scooby or Archie in at the end.) Thanks to all lookers and takers here; I hope this has been fun!

Amazing Spider-Man #301; calling it VF/NM. If I had to guess at a number, I would expect it to net out between 9.0-9.4. It has the misfold, but that black edge actually makes color breaks easy to see, and there's only one visible from the front and a couple visible from the back cover. There are non- color-breaking creases on the front spine, but not too many for high end of VF/low range of NM. $40 shipped within U.S.

These just in today ..... LTMM #15, and a 1943 Superman Sunday page (might be the whole section in there; it came in the frame) with a Superman spanking panel.

The Other Larson Collection -- Got Beverly?
Readcomix replied to Readcomix's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Got the last of Beverly's books that the dealer had -- LTMM #15, not quite as nice as the others with a detached CF, but still in great overall shape. Now the hunt really begins.... -
Welcome home, Cav! Glad you're back. Congrats to you and Rick both on the deals.

Ok, everything is up. That's it for this thread. I will leave it up a little longer; remember, everything still available through the first 12 pages is 15% off -- there's a couple Batmans below #100 in there, rare Stanhalls including a GI Jane, a Cowgirl Romances, the Archie "pearl necklace" cover, Blackhawk #21, a Roy Thomas autographed Fear #19, Nancy and Sluggo #1 etc -- go look; you might find it! Thanks to all takers and lookers! Takers, if you want to wait through the Golden Age funny animals/humor thread (maybe three dozen books) this weekend, that's cool. Otherwise PM me and we'll figure things out sooner. I hope everyone had fun; I tried to pile up oddball items from collections/lots I had bought to make a fun thread of things I enjoyed but decided not to keep. I feel Iike it's always fun to see things around here that aren't usually offered. Thanks all!
