If we are being generous it is "heavily influenced" or "nostalgically reminiscent", but you aren't wrong. Feels like we've maybe been to this strange new world before.

you all do realize that books of magic's Harry can be seen as the first 'proto-type' in that Rowlings admitted to reading those prior to coming up with a character so similar....

Ha! I loved these books. I forgot how much like Harry Potter they were. I wonder if that factors into why it's taken so long to have Harry in comics.

If this is going to turn into another Liefeld hate thread? Because I always come prepared with my favorite bit of his work if that's the case.

I'm digging it so far. It definitely seems like a lot of universe to take on with all the spiritual powers and politics. I like that it seems to be taking itself a bit more seriously than Saga. Definitely see some similarities between the 2 in influences from Star Wars and the like.

I really do love the art though. The detail is coo with me and the color intensity works for the glowing creatures and powers well I think.

It's pretty interesting to feel pity for the symbiote for a change. It was really changed by Flash it seems.

Would be very cool if the girl cast as X-23 sticks as the character ages.

It would be cool but it may not matter if she is the only one that sticks around. If Hugh Jackman is done soon, I bet they would just recast everybody.

Maybe they will just jump ahead in time and give her a movie as the replacement Wolverine.
