Hello everyone,
I have an AF 15 Reprint Blank Variant Comic and it was sent to me with a wax cover. I’m not too familiar if it has any significance as to the condition of the comic or what not. I’m worried I might damage the book if I pull it off. Never really seen this before. Some enlightenment on the subject would help. Thanks.

Not a lot of Archie Goodwin signed comics out there, but there isn't very much demand for an underrated comic book writer/editor. Also, while Goodwin wrote a lot of Star Wars comics, I don't think Archie Goodwin worked on Star Wars #1?
So while what you have is kinda rare, probably very few buyers out there who would pay a premium for a mid-grade Star Wars #1 signed on the cover and inscribed by someone who didn't work on that particular issue. Just my guess.
I know. I'm thinking of selling it. I'm not sure what a good price would be. Maybe I should just throw it out there as an eBay auction and hope for the best.

But generally for these types of comics (non-key moderns), here's a ballpark:
Stan Lee sig comics: Take the CGC 9.8 universal price, and add $100 to $200 more to that price and your value will be in that range.
Non-Stan Lee comics: Take the CGC 9.8 universal price, add the cost of getting the sigs, the extra cost of CGC SS grading, and if you had it at auction it would get between -10% to + 25% of your total price, maybe a bit more for rarity if you get the right buyers to show up.
These would be the ballparks IMO

Hello CGC folks,
I have some questions regarding estimating values. I know there are CGC value guides from ebay sales and even checking eBay for asking prices. However I have two books that are pretty rare (as far as CGC consensus).
1) Spidey Sunday Spectacular #1: Stan Lee (only 2 on CGC census)
2) Tangled Web #1: Stan Lee, John McCrea & Garth Ennis (only 1 on CGC census)
How can I determine their value?
