The category is somewhat irrelevant. A collectible ? Fine art ? Wave ? Particle ?
The article shows the inflationary pressures affecting an asset class. Art as an asset class will continue to benefit from these pressures....imvho.

Well, here's my story.
I was at a bar when this cute little red head in a tight leather mini skirt and a really tight knit sweater came up to me and said she would like for me to do her from behind. She must been about 19. Unfortunately, I was with my girlfriend at the time, so I had to pass.
I still kick myself every day.

ARE WE GOING TO HEAR THE REST OF THIS STORY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR CHAPTER 2 FOR AWHILE NOW, AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE SLEEPING UNTIL I HEAR HOW THIS ENDS.
-
I had two takeaways from Davidpg's initial story. One was that Ross is slime, but we all know that already anyways. The second was don't let a 12 year old guide your business decisions!
Yeah. Have to agree. I still dont see the benefit of the franchise. Its not like 1,000,000 comix had THAT strong a brand. It was not Mickey D's.
And the distribution agreement seems like a recipe for getting butt-f'ed !
But defintely no excuse. Tragic story.

Yep, that sounds right Moondog.
Mark, if you are interested I will ask the owner of the "Superhombre" "Supergirl" ashcans if they are for sale. I would be happy to put you 2 in touch.

Mark,
I know of a "Superhombre" ashcan used to secure copyright for Superman in Spanish and also I believe there is a "Superwoman" ashcan...but I might have that wrong.
That would be very interesting to verify. Is it just the Superwoman book you are unsure of, or both? If just the Superwoman, anyone have a scan of the Spanish Superman ashcan?
Actually, what character was "Superwoman" back then?
Mark,
I am positive about the "Superhombre" ashcan. My memory is certain on that point. I am less certain on the "Superwoman".. "Supergirl" ashcan. If you want, I know the owner of these ashcans. He is a really nice fella. I would be more than happy to shoot him off an e-mail enquiring as to which ashcans he has and whether they are for sale.

You guys are killing this thread.
SOMEBODY post a PEDIGREE!!!!!
WOOOOF !!!!!!!!
-
Red, your pedigree clusters are way cool.
The best I can do until getting back my long-awaited package from Sarasota is a gathering of "Don and Maggie Thompson" books. Admittedly, this is not the broadest or most reknowned pedigree to hit the marketplace. Still, the famous comic journalists did an outstanding job of preserving their collection, and the few books Maggie has parted with really are quite nice. They were auctioned by All-Star before obtaining "knighthood of the pedigree" from CGC, so I'll have to get them re-holdered one of these years.
AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is my newest, one and only Bowling Green book. Frankly, the only things I know about this pedigree are that it was the subject of a set of Sotheby's auctions, and Metro seems to have a bunch of them. This one was from an anonymous seller via Comiclink. In person, the whiteness of the cover is exceptional:
I LOVE THIS BOOK !!!! I was privileged enough to see the original art to the entire book owned by Anthony Snyder in the late 90's. The art on this book is exquiste.
