  1. What is the main contributor to the grade, the color rub?
  2. Hi everyone, looking for some input on grade for this Batman 567. There is something going vertical along the middle of the logo. Not sure if a cleaning would remove this or if the color is rubbed off in this area. Also, there are two non color breaking spine ticks, near the 'M' and 'N' in 'Man's'. Would a clean and press take care of these issues? What do you think the grade would be with and without a clean and press? Thanks for any and all input in advance:)
  3. Thanks everyone for the quick feedback! Here are some more pictures of the staple and interior.
  4. Hi All, just picked this up from my local LCS and was wondering what everyone ones thought on the grade would be.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm getting ready to make my first submission and I'm on the fence with this book. Since I've never submitted before, I still have a lot to learn. What grade would you give it in it's current condition? Would this book benefit from a pressing? I've tried to take some scans and pictures, but all the white and glossy make it a bit tricky. Thanks in advance.
  6. Good point, I'll pick some up before I handle any more books I plan to send it. I didn't even consider that!
  7. PGM Rai 0 First time posting and new to grading, so sorry in advance! Rai 0 has always been one of my favorite books, and I thought it was about time I submitted my copy. It has a few issues and I was wondering if pressing would help? I'm not really sure what pressing can and cannot help with at this point either... I know it will get dinged for the small tear on the bottom staple, but how much will it lower it? The bottom of the back cover has a manufacturing defect, what looks like a long horizontal scratch is actually printed like that. Will this lower it a lot? There are some dents and creases that I've tried to capture, I'm hoping most of these can be improved with pressing? Overall, what grade would you all give this book? Looking at sold listings on eBay, cgc 9.8 books are going between $160-$210 (this is the rarer more expensive glossy cover, not the matte cover). Depending on where this grades, it may or may not be worth sending in. But I probably will anyhow since I've loved this cover since I started collecting in the early 90s!
