Please see line 4 in your own quoted thread above for queueing in the line. If you're going to use my own post to attack me please at least read it completely.

    Not attacking you or trolling.

    Just making a professional criticism.

You choosing not to update your advertisements was done out of laziness.  No excuses, your ad said five and no changes for 2017.

Lastly, are your guys and signs updated and now telling collectors that they can go back in line to get more signature or only telling them that they have to pay the $5 fee for more signatures?

Instead of being professional and making an apology to collectors, you turned this into a "he's attacking and trolling me" argument.

There will never be a shortage of Stan Lee signatures out there.  If you plan on selling a signed item (especially comic) and are trying to command a premium on your asking price for said signed book, that is a fools errand in my humble opinion.   Supply has definitely outpaced demand.

If there is such a case of senior citizen abuse, these greedy handlers should be convicted of it!

This post is from 2016. Starting January 1st the policy was changed and updated on our website as well as Facebook. Signage as well as employees pointed this out at the show all through the signing. While folks were in line well before they reached Scott or even started to queue for any signings. Also folks were more than welcome to reque to obtain 3 more signatures for free after they had passed through the line the 1st time.

Thank you for the feed back.

According to the title and post before you edited it to reflect the "new policy" after I made my post, there was no language in there that would indicate a chance of a change in price. In fact, your title stated clearly that prices would be frozen throughout this year. Not a personal opinion or thought, just facts. Your post clearly stated 5 books for free through 2017.

Also, there were no signs and the guys controlling the line made NO mention of being able to go back in line to get more signatures. If the policy of being able to get back in line to get more signatures is true, then you guys choosing to omit this publicly is very unethical and just another case of trying to squeeze every dollar from collectors.

Got Stan Lee's Autograph at Megacon Orlando- a few observations

So Stan was/is at Megacon Orlando this weekend.  I went yesterday.  A few thoughts/observations:

    1)   I wish they would have just had numbered tickets for people who were not VIP, or Stan Lee Express ticket holders.  Us schleps who didn't pay the extra $$ got to stand in line for about 4 hours while VIP's & Express holders kept filtering in.  I 'get' that they paid extra money for their ticket.  That is the bonus.  But would it have killed them to filter in a few regular line standers in-between the others VIP's to keep the line moving?!   Maybe let them wait 5 minutes, so somebody waiting 4 hours can get a crack at it?! At least if they numbered tickets, we could have shopped and SPENT MONEY with some of the vendors, instead of having a fear of being shut out, which is why we felt the need to stand in line.  Then we could check back at the entrance and see what numbers they might be serving.   This is all hindsight since this is his last Florida Appearance (until next year).

    2) I still am amazed at what people have him sign.  Hey it's your money.  Whatever makes you happy.  But from a New Mutants 98, to signing the cellophane on a Funko Pop Figure, to a Silver Age Fantastic Four #1, to a Bronze Age #1 Godzilla, whatever floats your boat.  One thing is for sure-  there will be no shortage of Stan Lee Signatures when he passes, (including the item I got signed).  I don't ever plan on selling it.  But those that do, will be in for a rude awakening.

    3)  He didn't seem into it.  Hell, at 94 who would.   I've gotten his signature at 2 other shows over the years, and this time he just seemed tired, barely looked up, barely exchanged words with anybody, and quite frankly, I don't blame him.   His signature was pretty muddy.  He was tired.  Time to retire Stan.  Nobody would blame you.

Just personal observations.  Nothing more.   Excelsior.

    Update from Awesome Con today.

A friend and I got one book each signed by Stan. We were expecting to wait the dreaded 4 hours that we read about online, but we waited 30min tops. We couldn't believe how reasonable it was.

On the other hand, it was extremely disappointing to see how careless our books were handled by the staff after paying all that money and not have a chance to say hi or something. It's sad to see Stan pretty much signing like a factory.

All blame goes to these greedy handlers.

  5. Awesome Con -DC 2017

Hey guys! Just got back from Awesome Con here in DC. I'm new to the boards and wanted to give you daily reports from the con.

First of all, Scott and Greg were extremely professional and took time with fans individually.

    BUT

the comic sketch art guys changed the signing/fee policy. They had Scott and Greg signing only 3 books for free and the rest at $5 each.

    Shame on them!

Tom King, very nice and had the same signing policy as above but came late and left early.

On the positive side, lines for all were not that long and reasonable. It didn't take long to get in the show. They did a good job with crowd control.

ComicSketchArt is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement to add Batman author Scott Snyder to our team of amazing talent. We will be handling all of Scotts event appearances, and his signings (public or private) moving forward for Graded and Raw books.

If you are a dealer or fellow facilitator feel free to message us if you want to set up your own signing. These will operate exactly the same as our Frank Miller signings which everyone seems happy with.

Public signings will work the same with Scott as they do now. Except we will now be sitting with him at shows and managing his line.

To address a couple quick questions:

1 - Scott will not be raising prices it will be $15 a book for graded books (the current price for convention books for the last 2 years) and $20 for mail in graded submissions.

2 - You can submit on your own CGC account and we encourage it.

3 - You can submit through the CGC booth with one of their Witnesses.

4 - Scott will sign 5 raw books for free after that you can line back up for another 5 or pay a fee of $5 per book to have them all done at once.

5 - We will have 3 mail in signings per year for raw or graded books, for those fans who cannot make it to a show.

6 - Any graded books submitted without paying the above mentioned fee will be returned by either grading company as raw books.

We are simply here to make Scotts life easier and the signings flow smoother. There is no added mark up to any of the fans. The pricing structure will remain the same as it has for the last 2 years.
