CGC graded 6.0 (C-1) copy of "Brave & The Bold" #28. First appearance of the Justice League. While it is a C-1 restoration. The only restoration are some black dots on the front. Which I have been told could be removed and would possible make it an unrestored issue with a lower grade. I have had this book since the early 80's and finally clearing my collection. I take paypal and will ship by registered mail. I am on Ebay under "Tolen" with an outstanding rating. Since it's slabbed their are no refunds.
Asking $3,995.00 (free registered mail shipping) or best offer.

Put it up as a nice BIN for a couple months unless you need the cash. Allow offers and expect some low ball offers before a nice offer comes along. Use signature confirmation and go thru the proper channels and you should avoid any scams. If it does not sell within a couple months put it in a ComicLink auction and see what the market says its worth. I do have to admit E-Bay will be a stretch since its a $3,000 book and you don't have a high feedback but it's worth a shot for a bit.
I actually have over 1000 feedback on ebay from buyers and sellers...Just not with comic books.

at least I got the C-1 right haha. Looks nicer than a 6.0 to tell you honestly
That is what I thought. I am not upset about the restoration score...But the 6.0 seems low. Especially when I saw another 6.0 that had "staining" on it.

No worries...That is why I am asking. I appreciate your advice!

I was thinking of listing it on a bit of the higher end (still reasonable) and seeing what happens...Worst case it doesn't sell I can bring it to the auction house.

I was figuring that its such a big name book that it might be noticed.

I have a copy of "Brave & The Bold" #28 (first app.of the Justice League). I just got it graded. It's a 6.0 (with very minor restoration C-1). I was going to put it up for auction on one of the bigger auction sites. But was thinking of putting it up on Ebay first and seeing what I could get.
Just was hoping for other people's opinions.
Thanks!!

Well I got the grade..... 6.0 (C-1). Little lower than I had hoped.

Well after a week to get there (registered mail takes forever). My book has arrived for walkthrough grading. Hoping to have the grade by tomorrow. Will let you all know.
On a side not a 4.5 (C-1 restored) copy just sold on Heritage Auctions for over $2,600. Gives me hope that if mine is restored and is a 7.0. I will still get a high price for it.

Does the book have a non-color breaking subscription crease?
I am not sure what that is. Can you explain more? Thx

Yeah 7.0 (C-1)
So when looking at price guides...How does the C-1 affect the 7.0 grade? Thanks for all your help!

I just sent a book in to be Walkthrough graded. I am curious do you have to wait until I get the book back to see what its graded at or will it be listed on the "my submissions" section of the website? I know it takes a week to get sent back (because of registered mail) and I am eager to know what the grade is.
Thx -
I still am amazed how bright the colors are for an old book...and how fragile the books feel

2.5/3.0 seems right. Nice book! It has a bit of a toasted look, but I think that's mostly because the scans are dark.
Please note, it's great you've been putting up scans in the grading forum, but I would not scan the first page of any books anymore as in your 3rd pic here. That puts a lot of stress on the staple areas, and you risk popping the cover at one or both staples.
Thanks for the tip.

I'm thinking a restored label 7.0 (C-1 or C-2). The bleed-through and use of marker will likely give it a C designation but the CT may be considered moderate (Instead of slight -> 1) since it's used in numerous places so may get a 2. I don't think its been trimmed or married. The creases at the staples look organic.
I am curious if you could explain how restored grades mean? (ie C or CT).
Thanks!
