Just checked the new cencus update on 9/11..there are now 7 Detective 27s in unrestored condition over 5.5. Only 3 Action 1s over 5.5.
Also added were a Tec 29 and 31 in universal 5.0

Great group shot Rick. See you in San Diego

Nice 13 Bangzoom, I have been searching for an unrestored copy of this elusive issue in good or better for quite some time and have come up short. Your copy is absolutely stunning

PS....maybe I have been living under a rock too long, but what the heck is that picture thing in your posting..
Thats the little maniac from and episode in Karen Black's Trilogy of Terror. I remember it scared the cr@p out of me when I saw it on TV as a kid. If my memory serves me correctly it was given as a gift to a woman by her mother. It had a necklace on and when the necklace fell off it came to life and was chasing this chick around her apartment trying to stab her. Pretty high tech for the 70's. The ending was pretty cool too.

Here are a couple of fairly recent aquisitions. The 63 is a solid lower grade copy, the 66 is a beauty the scan does not do it justice. I would appreciate anyone who would care to give their opinion on a grade for the 63 based on the scan.

A very warm THANK YOU to slacker for a recent BIG PURCHASE.
Sterling,
Glad I could help you fill some holes in your collection. Although it took a while to put this deal together it was a smooth transaction.
Enjoy

Recently I found multiple copies of Bat's # 1-50 in a wall that was used as insulation at one time.
Intresting picture, Were they found by someone else or was it actually you that found them or did I miss an earlier joke?

With the bidding already at $751, I'm really scared what it will go to. I suspect all of the players may get involved
Good luck guys, it appears the party has just begun.

At the risk of sounding redundant, congratulations Ian.

Being relatively new to the boards I was a casual observer for quite a while before making my first post. I can honestly say as a relative newcomer that I have enjoyed this thread the most. being a horror fan. I looked forward to Sterlings post as well as many of you regular conributors.
It has been a pleasant disruption to my cumbersome work day. I hope to continue so see the friendly banter as well as informative insight that many have shared. I dont see it as a DC or Marvel thing, just an awesome forum for horror comics.Just thought I would chime in and share my oppinion.

Nice scans Sterling. Once again it appears your patience has paid off.

Fantastic Action collection Slacker! What's the grade and page quality on the Action #22? Some nice high grade war covers in there too.
5.0 with off white pages.
