  1. I really expected a bit more from the forum. .I've discovered  the answer. The dealer (UK) is lifting cgc  comics that are for sale in the states relisting them in the UK at greatly increased prices. If /when they  sell he simply buys the American comic and apologises for the delay in postage to the UK buyer..

  2. Hello, I wonder if anyone out there can shed some light on this experience. I recently obtained a copy of 'Thrills of Tomorrow' #17. 1954. Always wanted this comic because if the intriguing cover, 'The World of Mr Chatt'.I wanted to know more about this story. However, no where is there a mention of this cover/story in the damn comic ! Was this fraudulent practise commonplace ? Any other examples? Thanks Geoff.

  3. Many thanks for the feedback. Let me see if l've got this right. A chap wants a certain comic in a high grade, but is unable to find one in a raw state. So for 'peace of mind '  he buys an slabbed issue with a stated high grade -- paying a premium price. Then he breaks the comic out of the case in order to touch it, read it, sniff it! But by doing this he instantly devalues and probably also De-grades it

I just don't get it, maybe because I'm English, but I just don't get it
