Think a press would be a must

Just got this off ebay. See a stain on FC, bottom right. Also the top staple looks like it was never there. Does that affect the grade less than a pulled staple?

Was looking for some SA comics in my collection and stumbled on this that I can't remember buying. Thanks for your input!

I'm surprised the consensus is that high. there's a crease in the front upper left corner and that chip on the right front about halfway down. ignoring the date stamp, i thought those factors would have more impact. 

Thanks in advance. There is some discoloration on the back, but i don't think it looks awful overall

Got a few obvious flaws, but I think this was my first Bronze Age comic, so it has some sentimental value worth considering grading.

I am not convinced pressing will for sure lead to a better grade and who knows what it might do to the signature. The can probably handle it but how much additional market value are we talking about for a 8.5 to 9.0 bump? I would also consider that the price bump you are thinking is possible might also get adjusted downward with the recent drop in the stock market.

I'm pretty reluctant to send it and risk it. If everyone said it was a sure thing, I would go all in, but with the board sounding split, I think i'm making the right choice. Thanks for the advice.

I have an 8.5 SS IH 181. The grader notes say the following: 

Right Bottom Whole Book Small Bend Right

Top Front Cover Crease Breaks Color

Spine Multiple Bend Breaks Color

Would a press bring this up to a 9.0? I'm nervous about sending this in and taking any additional risks. Thanks for any advice

Came back as a 4.0. The subscription crease was really significant. Oh well. 

Finally sent this in after almost 2 years. Came back 7.0. I'm happy!

No color break on it. I've never gotten anything pressed so I may try and see how it goes.

Yeah, that's a crease there. Actually hadn't noticed it until i scanned it.

Like this issue alot. I also have X-Men 14, hoping to get X-Men 15 one of these days too.

Obviously biggest defect is the subscription crease straight down the middle. What do you think?

Paid $50 for it last year. Not sure if it's worth grading or not. Maybe with a press? Not sure if it's worth the extra expense.
