No shops around here got the Thanos #13 1:25 variant or else I would've grabbed it, it's one of those series that just a few shop regulars were reading during Lemire's run so I'm guessing that even with Infinity War on the horizon, nobody went heavy on it.

They all finally caught on and went big on the 2nd and 3rd printings but still not so much with the 1st prints of the entire run at all, not even the last 2 issues when the series was established as a hit.

Point being, the lenticular will slowly rise in price, (currently $50-$60 in 9.8 which isn't bad) people are going to want complete sets because it's one of the few bright spots from Marvel in the last decade

I could be wrong - but isn't the print run on 2nd prints about half of 1st print and then half again on 3rd ?

  2. Was looking through a stack of Amazing Spider-Man 363 and noticed there is a definite and noticeable difference in the green color on the cover page. There seems to be a lighter cover and a darker cover. Makes no difference if it is a newsstand copy or not. Just curious if this is normal with issues of this era? Is this a 1st print / undisclosed 2nd print situation? Is one more rare than the other. To be honest, I never noticed subtle differences in covers, etc until the whole deal with variant covers and newsstand issues vs direct . So, if there is someone with knowedge, can you drop it on me.   thx5a888f293629a_IMG_12522.thumb.JPG.ddedca02b7db27ee0eef7806b9972ea6.JPG5a888f35d0558_IMG_12542.thumb.JPG.2cd559301fbbbd91e7863141ac89b166.JPG

  3. I am a long time reader and collector that has been out of the 'game' for quite a while now. I realize that things change, so information that once rang true might not apply now - hence I am reaching out to you experts. I am looking for a 'one stop shopping' place - magazine, publication, or website that clearly highlights the cherries or key issues that are current today. Things like first appearances, hot artists, death of, etc. Back in the day, WIZARD magazine use to do this - due mainly because of lack of space. Overstreet  annual does this today , but its like 400 pages thick. Any help or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.    thanks in advance.
