  1. Hope everyone had a wonderful summer! I'm about to leave for vacation in a couple of days, but I wanted to post this eBay auction that I found for another Dennis savings bond printing block: http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-DENNIS-THE-M...1QQcmdZViewItem If you bid on it, GOOD LUCK!!
  2. Thanks, Joe. I knew that you would probably have more info on Jay North's non Dennis career. So he was the voice of Prince Turhan...I never knew that he also did Bamm Bamm Rubble's voice. Interesting-I always learn something new from this great thread. Happy 4th of July everyone!
  3. I was watching an episode of The Banana Splits, and the credits listed Jay North as one of the voices. Unfortunately it didn't specify which character he voiced, or which cartoon. It was either The Arabian Nights or Three Musketeers.
  4. Hi, everyone- I've been enjoying the posts, as usual. I was trolling around eBay and found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14279&item=6183877679&rd=1 Jim, could that be you? The seller is in CA and it sort of resembles the pic of yourself that you posted awhile back, although this child is younger. I just thought I'd put it out there in case it IS you!
  5. Joe, I bought mine from her as well. She also has #29, #31, #33, #34, #36, #42 and #43 available in different grades. ~Linda
  6. Awww...it IS Ruff!! Thanks for posting your pics, Jim and Mrs.Wiseguy-those are great. I'm loving this thread, and I check it a few times per day.
  7. Jim,I just have to say that gaining insight into your father's work and personal life via your memories is fascinating. Thanks again to you for sharing them, and to Teresa for the scans. Your tattoo is an amazingly good likeness of our beloved DTM. I wish I had something to contribute in the way of questions or scans, but unfortunately I don't. Reading this thread as it grows is a real treat to all of the Dennis collectors/fans. Your father will never be forgotten. ~Linda
  8. Aww, Jim...you were a little cutie! The first pic shows a definite Dennis-like gleam in your eye! Thanks for sharing the pics and answering questions for us here. And thanks again to Joe the ComicBookGuy for starting it.
  9. I was trolling through eBay's Dennis paraphernalia and found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=30&item=5968360826&rd=1 I remember reading a post somewhere in this thread-a collector mentioned that they would love to find a mischief kit? Here it is!
  10. I'm coming out of lurkerdom to say THANK YOU to all who have shared and scanned. I stumbled on to this site in search of Dennis info, and I've read and enjoyed every single post. As a kid growing up in the 70s, my siblings and I looved both the Dennis and Archie digests. My collection is paltry compared to those on this site, and are basically comprised of read-only copies, but I still treasure each one. Seeing scans of the covers, stories, etc. is exciting! The posters here are incredibly knowledgeable and I've already learned quite a bit from them. Bring on some more!
