Ah thanks. Yeah I figured the case doesn't have UV coating, but I thought that the inner plastic envelop sealed the comic. I thought someone on youtube showed throwing a CGC slab in a bucket of water and the comic was fine.. but maybe it was because it wasn't in the bucket very long.

Sorry if this topic has been answered before, but I tried searching the forums and cannot find a definitive answer.
I thought that there was an inner layer for a CGC slab that completely encapsulates the comic where air doesn't go in or out, so how would outside humidity affect an CGC slabbed book?

And has the lowest print run of all of them.
Total of 600 copies I believe which 595 of them were printed in error. 5 of them are file copies at DC I believe.

Thanks all!
And I took your suggestion candygram, and x'ed out the grade from the seller.

Just to let yall know USPS finally "found" the package and delivered it to CGC. I received an email that CGC has indeed received it. Apparently USPS had a mix-up in their tracking system and I received a tracking number for some other person's package.
Today I sent some more books to CGC via USPS Registered mail and the clerk gave me a hard time saying that I cannot send the package to a company name... it has to be a person.

I used 2 of the mailers in my first large shipping kit as well. I sent a packing slip in with each one. I don't actually know if you "need" to do that, but I did anyway just in case. The only thing I can tell you is that it didn't seem to delay anything, I'm not sure if it sped anything up, but it didn't slow them down as far as I can tell.
Thank you for the quick reply on your experience! May I ask if your two packing slips are the same or did you put in 2 separate submissions of 10 books each? Thanks!

So I am preparing to ship 20 books to CGC using the large shipping kit and was wondering if I need to provide 2 packing slips, one for each of the 2 batches of 10 books that fits into each Gemini mailers? I watched the short video on how to use the large shipping kits but it was not clear on this.
Thanks!

Thanks. Right now its 50/50... my second time sending to CGC.

Thanks for the reply!
It took jumping hoops to get anyone on a call at USPS. I even went to the Post Office and got ahold of a supervisor, and she couldn't even reach anyone at the main office yesterday.
I finally got a callback from their main office today, and they claim that the recipient (CGC) asked for the forwarding and sent me a Proof of Delivery letter copy with the signature of the recipient (SChen), but they said they will continue to investigate but will take 3 days to resolve.
I just sent an email with the letter and info to CGC Services asking if they actually did ask for the forwarding but I find that weird since Pennsylvania is no where close to Florida. Anyway since CGC is closed today I think I will have to wait until tomorrow the very least to hear the answer.

I sent $7000 worth of books to CGC via USPS Registered Mail, and they just delivered it to some individual in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania...

Just wanted to update that it is now CGC slabbed, graded 9.4 white pages. Qualified label of course. I did not have it pressed.
Thanks everyone for your inputs!

I recently received back one of my first CGC submitted book Amazing Spiderman 301. It was a book that I had bought off the comic stand and never read. It looked great but came back a 9.6. There were no grader notes.
Since it looks like there is a huge gap in market pricing between a 9.6 vs 9.8, I was wondering if it would be worth it to get it pressed and regraded.
Thanks!

The demand is only going to escalate as the netflix show approaches. I'd get it slabbed now but wait a bit to sell it.
Thanks!

Personally I would keep the book (not knowing your personal financial circumstance), but demand for it now is maybe the best its ever been. You'll get a good sale out of this.
Cool thanks!

Definitely slab it.
I will be a buyer of this book and many others on this forum, and if you don't have any buyers, people on Ebay will want it. It's a pretty amazing piece, I'm jealous!
Thanks!

Your comic is very much in demand, and slabbing it now will only detract the value if it comes back a very poor grade (like a 7.5 or something). There are several people who will be interested in this book, send it off to CGC and offer it for sale on the boards. I'd be interested.
Great book!
Thanks! Sorry, so I should send it in to CGC to slab it even if it's going to be a green label? The condition on this comic is pretty good. Sharp corners, been in mylar since I got it. Never taken out since or read by me at least. Was graded NM when I bought it.

An exception to it being a good idea. I don't expect CGC to make an exception to the green label rules.
I can't find any sales on green labels for this. I can only find a few sales for blue labels. Not surprising since there is only 78 total CGC slabbed of this comic with 9 being a green label.

Hello!
I have a Sandman #8 editorial variant that is signed by Neil Gaiman from one of the original signings and was wondering if this is worth slabbing for a green label. I've heard that it is usually not a good idea to slab for a green label but I thought this may be an exception since CGC wasn't around during the time of this signing event.
Thanks!
