  1. Sadly, none of these are mine. I just like to collect Christmas comic cover pics
  2. Do it. Take the ball and run with it. I think he just wanted to run it up the flagpole to see if anybody saluted. Maybe he should post it as a thread in CG to see how much snark is generated.
  3. Google harder. Yup. Not sure what Bill Brown is doing wrong but the images are definitely available via google searches
  4. Well, the grease pencil came off. And so did quite a bit of yellow
  5. It's really not rocket science. Cleaning fragile paper has it's risks but consulting a restoration pro for a simple cleaning is a bit overkill in my opinion. Define "simple cleaning" and what it entails. Are you an expert? Perhaps it is overkill. Perhaps not, but there are lots of people here that give out bogus advice (as I said well meaning but still erroneous) on a daily basis and that was my main point.
  6. Don't touch them. You will probably do more harm than good, removing color/gloss. Send them to a professional for a dry clean and press. +1 Best advice is to ask a professional. One caveat to the OP, there are plenty of well meaning people on this board who will not hesitate to give advice, even when they don't know what they're talking about. In this case, definitely consult a comic restoration pro or perhaps a professional presser who also does cleaning
  7. Yeah. People complain (rightly) about Chuckles pricing but he's not the only one pricing comics to the stratosphere
  8. I suggest Windex and sand paper. Seriously though, you might want to ask the mods to move this thread to this forum >> https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/27-comic-book-grading-and-restoration-issues/
  9. It's not his resume.....just his screen name I think..., because of general thread degradation, he's down to either BJ Boy or The Afterbirth..., really great screen names! The Placentanator.
  10. It is not part of an ongoing series but it is a marvel, non-reprint story - no one stopping Disney from turning it into a marvel team up with Jack Sparrow...but heck, I didn;t really understadn the distinction until this thread Well that, and how is anyone supposed to determine if a particular story is, or is not part of the continuity?
  11. Here's another fun one. Amazing Spider-Man Annual 14. Spidey and Dr Strange go up against Dr Doom, the Dread Pirate Roberts Dormammu and Lucius Dilby (who?) to try to prevent the Bend Sinister (the what??) from happening. Pretty weird but cool story illustrated by Frank Miller when he could still draw.
  12. Marvel Team Up 41-44. A rollicking good paranormal and supernatural time set against the backdrop of 17th century Salem Mass and the Salem Witch Trials.
  13. You're just jealous you didn't think of it first. Or not. On second thought, definitely not.
  14. While this may be true, there is also the cost of restoring the book. To take a 3.0 to an apparent 8.0 is going to be very expensive. I see no financial win in restoring the OP’s book. And there's no guarantee that it gets up to 8.0 after to resto is done.
