  1. Ya I know these things happened. I like I said just wanted to ask around to see if it was common all around. Or like I said my shop I go to just got a bad bunch.
  2. Hello everyone I wanted to ask around about this. Yesterday I went to my local comic shop to pick up my weekly books. I noticed in my copy of infinity wars #5 and the stack he still had issues. Which was the middle foldout advert the top staple was not attached to the advert at all. It is attached to the actual main story pages. And the bottom staple is firmly holding the advert. So I wanted to see if that was a common problem with the issue from distribution end. Or if my shop just happened to get a batch of bad ones. So of any one can help me out that be great.
  3. Nice looking run there. My idea would be sell the slabs as singles more so if it's key books and high grades. As they would be more worth there money. Then the raws sell them in lots. Which you can break it down to story archs, or writers or lots of 10 or 20 books.
  4. What I was getting at on that post is officially cgc only at a handful of events through the year. I wish they where at more shows. As others who knows if there is someone who has a connection to cgc to send in your stuff or witness stuff.
  5. For me it just sucks they don't have a service for when they are not at a show or event. It be nice if they did. I get why they don't. Just would be nice. As a rep or company are not at every show or event. Or at least if they took official coa.
  6. I think first book I bought had to be a 90s 400s possibly scarlet spider story. Who knows what ever happen to it. But when I started collecting fully around 1999/2000. The first was asm Vol 2 #30 and I been reading and collecting since. And then the fun last 6 years going backwards hunt.
  7. Ya I get that. Just sucks though if your at a show cgc or someone certified by cgc isn't there and you get something signed. It would be nice to still get it authentication and what not.
  8. I wonder why cgc doesn't authenticate signatures they don't Witness. Wouldn't there be ways to have known copies of x signatures and all that. Like how for other grading like sports stuff there is people out there who authenticate signatures on things?
  9. Not the best photo but this is my 55 I mentioned earlier. Photo is from when I got it like 4 years ago. Funny thing every time I see this issue at shows or other shops it's always in pretty rough shape.
  10. My first silver age spidey issue was 55. Mine is very sharp bold colors and good shape.
  11. I have a 25 myself but part of cover got pulled off around spidey left shoulder.
  12. You are a little mixed up. Green goblin Norman Osborn is killed in asm 122. Mj does not die. Gwen Stacy is the one who dies in 121. And the drug issues was 3 issues in the late 90s before issue 100. And they where without comic code as they didn' approve of the Harry Osborn drug story.
  13. Congrats man on those two. I not going to afford those myself any time soon.
  14. So with all the amazing "pun" intended covers there is for Spider-Man. With the new ps4 game photo mode. Has any one tried and recreate there favorite covers. If so I would like to see what folks done.
  15. Here is a question I got. How do folks store key or important silver or etc... books when they go to a con if for example cgc going to be there. To give cgc the books at show. I was just asking at show I know cgc is usually at each year for next year I plan to bring a few key books I want to get slab.
  16. Ya personally I only go for regular first print issues. Only time I buy a variant is usually for anniversaries issues or when ever there is a blank variant for future sketch work at cons.
  17. Nice I wish I was down to a few left. 323 more to go for me.
  18. Thanks man ya I knew if the regular variants. This was one I was hoping for a blank for shows next year. Sucks it doesn't have a blank.
  19. Hey guys I know this isn't totally asm related. But I was wondering does anyone know if this week spider-geddon #1 has a blank variant? I been trying to find out but haven' had any luck. If any one knows that be great.
  20. Thanks for an answer man. It's something I always wanted to know.
  21. A fair looking number 1 there. And lizard issue looks nice. My earliest lizard issue is # 45. As for old books here is a question I always wondered. I know back in the day newsstands would do a date stamp on books. Does that date stamp on books affect value or not. As I always try to get older stuff without those stamps on them.
