Will CGC be providing witnesses at this years SDCC? What’s the process? Does anyone know how much the yellow tier costs?
Thank you.

I was afraid of that. I don't have allot of books ready I have to minus the labels that get overtaken by the hologram and it makes things a little more complicated. I like to save on shipping too. I just did a mock order and it split it into 2 orders with twice the amount of shipping. Back to the drawing board. Thank you @Iceman399

I wanted to know if anyone has placed a CGC submission with both Custom label and regular grading. The reason I’m asking is my order gets split when I combine my books in one order. Will CGC split them into 2 shipments or cause delays due to the custom label?
Thank you!

Thanks Mike! I have a stack of books I’m holding in hopes they move her left a little more.

I really like the Spider-Gwen custom label but after getting some books back she’s disappearing into the Spiderverse. I was hoping @CGC Comics would fix this by now. It’s a nice label. Has anyone seen them correct these labels in the past?

I just checked, and the old ones were listed as being 42 mil thick...while the new ones say they are 35 pt thickness.
A pt and a mil each represent 1/1000th of an inch.....so they are definitely making them thinner.
You mentioned they had brown backs last year. Have they changed it back to making both sides white? Their website still mentions them as having "one side white".
Great feedback. They're not brown anymore however they are also not bright white. There's a hint of light brown in them.
-
These also have some very light browning. They are not bright white like the pre-Snap Covid batches. I don't know of any replacements for these. Because of the reduction in thicknesses, these bend easily. This could bend your book if you're not paying attention when bagging and boarding. I had to lay these out and bend them to a flat shape before I add a book to them. It's getting frustrating. I use these when mailing my books to CGC. I wonder what CGC does to all the boards once they get them? @CGC Comics How about a refurbished or lightly used batch of Pre-Snap E. Gerber full-backs? I would pay a reduced rate to get mine all back with my shipments.
-
Has anyone opened a new batch of E.Gerber Standard size fullbacks? I recently picked up 200 and they are thinner than the original Standard Size Fullbacks. I know they have delay issues and they even had brown backs last year. They’re putting out bad quality these days. I was surprised at how thin and flimsy these are. It’s frustrating when these were the best and now who knows if E.Gerber can deliver good quality products anymore.

Of course it’s a last resort, but you can start calling him out publicly (nicely) on social media, and look for more social media.
or file police reports in his local jurisdiction, assuming you have enough paperwork to support your case.
or contact any of his known employers
organize your evidence first, make timelines, be logical and not emotional
good luck
Thanks for the reply. I first hope the guy is alright. Then of course figure out what my next steps is considering I have no responses from him after trying to get updates. I'm going to reach out to IVdyer. Sounds like he might be able to help.

Hello Board,
I love seeing everyones sketches on here and ran across Felipe Massafera last year. He sent me a list of available covers and I paid him. It's been over a year. Does anyone know if he's still around or how to get a hold of him? I emailed him and DM'd him on IG. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Javier

I rarely do con commissions anymore as most are quick and I prefer larger/detailed pieces. I am on the list for a few but those are for "home" commissions.
For the WW I messaged Warren as soon as he posted it on IG. He messaged back that it was available and I purchased it before he put it on his website. We then discussed the back which was the first front and back he ever did. I then asked later if he had any other covers available and he showed me a few that were available. I chose the MJ because it was the best cover stock from images he sent to me.
Most I contact via DM through IG. They will either discuss availability themselves or point me to their handlers.
IG has opened a lot of doors for overseas artists. Warren is from South Africa, Gorken from Turkey, Chris Clark from London, Aury from Italy....all were contacted directly from IG. I did a lot of legwork discussing the CGC process as most were not familiar.
How do you get CGC to accept these from a Artist out of the country with no witness? That’s always been on my mind as I purchase covers from artists on IG. Thx

Thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone know if CGC is offering Pre Screen Services at their express drop off booth?

I see it going to $100 when 2019 starts.

That’s what I thought. I feel the years biggest surprise was the Spider-Gwen Ghost 1 Hyung Lee Variant. I passed opening week at 189. Then in a couple of days it popped off.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll hold picking this one up at its current 200 #.

Brooks variant of Uncanny X-men #4 is bin $150 for the 1:100. Nice Psylocke. Drops next week.
Auction has one at $56.
What’s a fair price on these? Do you see them going up Or down after a few weeks? I haven’t seen many high priced Brooks covers on the bay.

Hello,
Lately, I've been picking up a couple copies of my favorite releases and covers at my LCS. I've been able to find perfect spines and mint corners with the exception of the inside top part looking wavy, Even laying down the cover looks mint but the inside top is wavy. Have you seen this and how bad will this affect a potential high 9's grading at CGC is the cover is mint?
Thank you,
