Daredevil issue #130 pg 16 original art from 1975. Pencils by Bob Brown with inks by Klaus Janson. The skeleton (Brother Zed) and voodoo doll destruction panels are phenomenal imo, and are nicely detailed by the heavy inks. DD swinging through NYC's Central Park in the bottom panel with lots of self thought text bubbles regarding the emerging voodoo practices in NY is a cool add.

Ha, ha, I wondered where this had gotten to. Enjoy!

Funny how times change. In 1990 if you wanted to buy a piece of art for $250,000, you got into a suit and tie and traveled to an auction being held in a mansion located in NY, London or Paris where you were served champagne and treated with class. Now you bid online dressed in a t-shirt and shorts while toggling back and forth between cat videos and PornHub while drinking a Mountain Dew you bought at the Shop Rite. We've lost something as a society, I think.

...and pay a higher BP % for the privilege too.

Being Motel 8 or Best Western and occupying the lower end of the hospitality market is fine so long as you understand your clientele and set your opex/capex accordingly.

analogous to the cheap collector that subsists on 2/99cents Jack-n-the-Box tacos, Captain Crunch, & Chef Boyardee Canned Ravioli, steals condiments from fast food chains, smokes cheap cigarettes, lives in their dead parents house, drives a 95 Chevy Cavalier, drinks PBR or the Beast, but has a complete run of DC Comics 1959-1982, most of the Charlton's and the single largest collection of Pogo, Snuffy Smith, and Gasoline Alley Strips and a massive VHS collection of porn. :canofworms:

Dude. Never trusting you again with anything 😓

It has less to do with the world or future not being as good in coming days but that we won't be there, young and in bloom with working body parts, to enjoy it. It's more inward than external.

Speak for yourself, it has everything to do with the past world being better than the present or future expectations of same, the very definition of nostalgia.

I'm personally blooming at 52, never been better or in better health and condition, running a faster 10k than I was in high school, I can control this: what I eat and how I exercise. I wish the same success (and peace of mind) for everyone reading this not just Chris; none of which has anything to do with how crummy now is  "externally" vs The Eighties (for example), this all falling into the category of "not in my control to change". That I can't outrun 😉
