I have every issue of The Walking Dead except a few variants and im missing some 2nd prints, and 3rd prints. I only buy walking dead comics and only now if there cgc 9.8's, when i started collecting 3ish years ago i started out buying a huge bundle of them for 200 dollars and they we're all in near mint condition other than maybe 1 or two out of over a 100 anyway after i bought most of them except 1 through about 30 thats when i started buying those ones all cgc 9.8's but why im posting is i need to get my issue 1 first print cgc 9.8 signed by Andrew Lincoln and my issue 19 cgc 9.8 with michonne (danai guera) on the cover and i have a bunch of negan (jeffrey dean morgan) covered issues i'd love to get his signature as well but since i heard that Walker Stalker Fest is no longer happening, i want this thread to be about ppl discussing specifically their walking dead comic books collections and pics of them if there signed by someone on the show or just really rare and where to go to meet the cast or at least andrew and danai, etc.

wait i see it but its last updated 2011 i left a msg if someone could update it since its been 8 years

I think everyone knows Steve Ditko hasn't and won't attend a con, are there many others? if i have to i'll resell it for 2500 plus shipping before the price drops. and if don't get to get there autograph there was a cgc 9.8 signature series issue 1 signed by kirkman the guy wanted 2900 i got him down to 2600 and he backed out.

If you can get an SS CGC 9.8 of #19 signed by Danai Gurirra then it should definitely hold it's value.  I doubt she'll do another WSC from what I have read lately as many actors/actresses from the show are dropping that con due to not being paid (from what I read, at least).  I am sure she'll be at cons, though, as her fame with both TWD and the Avengers/Black Panther will keep her a fan favorite for the rest of her career.  Good luck and WTTB!

Thanks i live in pa so unless she does a con in new york or baltimore  or philly then im screwed, is there a website you can look up where celebs from tv shows/movies you can find out when and where the con or meet and greet they'd be doing in 2019 and above? I appreciate you helping answering my questions too btw.

#19 hasn't broken $700 for over 3 years and is a $500 - $550 book at the moment. It has 3 sales in the 400's this year.

Michonne is leaving. The book will fall. The bottom is subjective, but yes, I'd say in 3 or 4 yrs time it will settle at a $150 ish book.

 

Thats disheartnening i mean ive seen at least 2 to 3 issue 19 cgc 9.8s going for 700 and 750 no lie, also what is gpa and how do i get and how much does it cost? I bought issue 19 like over 6 months ago for 625 are you saying i should definately sell my copy on ebay to try and make my money back??!! I was planning on getting it signed by her if she ever does another walker stalker fest. I saw these issues 19's on ebay is what i meant to say.

Looking to buy a Walking Dead CGC 9.8 First Print non signed for 2300, If Signed by Robert kirkman the 9.8 cgc signature series i'd pay 2500-2600 hell maybe less. If anyone has one there looking too sell online specifically through ebay, and can meet those numbers than i'd do business with you but the case has to be in flawless condition i think that goes without saying. Msg me if you need any details etc. Walking Dead is the only comic i read and collect i have every issue except issue 1 first print issue 2,4 and 5 btw.

I sold off all 5 around the $1200 - $1800 mark each - and very much like you, kept an eye on the market.

I do agree that #1 will always have legs - and I also agree that your long term prognosis is spot on.

I think there will be a period of panic sales (because 2K is a lot of money to most people) if this downward trend continues - and then slow climb back which will continue long after the show/comic has finished.

I'm probably more bullish and see this as a $3000 book down the line - it's an iconic book which spawned at least 3 TV shows, 3 movies, web-series etc.

That history will be remembered later I think.

I also think #2 and #3 will keep $1000+ values later, plus possibly #19 - the amount of 1st apps in #2 (CARL, GLENN, LORI) and #3 ( CAROL,ANDREA AND DALE plus some minors Sophia,Amy etc) are astounding, and for me are as important, if not moreso than #1 (RICK+MORGAN)

#3 being a $400 book ($330 low sale this year) is absurd considering the characters that are still going in both the comic and TV show!

Totally agree about #27, #61, #92 etc being footnotes (Gov Gabe and Jesus I think from memory) and I really wouldn't want to be holding a heap of slabbed books outside those 4 above unless it's a personal collection scenario.

FYI - there have been at least 3 sales over $4000 blue 9.8

 

In short we both are on the same track.

I can see #1 taking a bigger hit after the show/movies finish - then a gradual climb up to $3000

I see #2 and #3 taking a very slight hit (I actually still think they are undervalued), and then climbing.

#19 I'm not sure. That could hit $150 and stay there.

As a matter of interest how much longer does the original show have in your opinion?  Fear is actually better this season (and thats saying something) than the original...

And the comic?  I genuinely am struggling to name characters in either medium outside the original band of heroes.

And that's really sad to me.

I might be going the cleveland walkerfest just so i can pay to get in then pay each walking dead actor to sign there own issue, i know the tickets are a set price to get in but then i have to pay a few 100 a piece on just autographed cgc copies and non graded autographs. My Question is how much does a yellow label cost if you get your cgc 9.8 copy autographed?  Also how much does it cost just to get ungraded  copies graded,? And last question can i pay cgc with a credit card/ The only thing i know for a fact is that you have to pay the actors in cash. Also i live in Lehighton PA 18235 whats the closest event from where i live will you tell me wheres the closest cgc event or gathering,etc so i can get ungraded copies graded? Why is it so hard to find a cgc 9.8 graded walking dead first pressing issue 13?
