  1. Ok so let’s say he was feeling uneasy about that whole address thing Even though I told him it was fine to ship to PayPal address. There are many other ways to complete this transaction as stated on the chat (check, money order, Venmo, quickpay) He lives in NJ I would have just gone to pick it up as I have done many times in the past. I feel he gotten other better option for the book and was looking for an exit because if he didn’t why wouldn’t he even try to work it out with me. I even told him via text that this looks bad on his end but he did not care.

  2. One other thing is that he keeps saying he doesn’t know who I am. He knows my eBay acoout, He knows my name and both my old address and my new address. He said himself on this board that he knows I’m older then him cause he “looked me up.” So now he knows so much about me. He is not Courteous he is unprofessional and if he gets cold feet Or sellers Remorse he will back out of the deal without notice.

  3. At the end of the day I don’t care that he did not sell the book to me but how unprofessionally he went about doing so. He didn’t even have the courtesy to let me know that the deal was off and when I found out he basically said beat it I’m not selling you the book. I have never seen this done before. I have made deals on eBay, Facebook, Instagram, in person at comicCon, comic book stores etc. My eBay account Which was the original contact point with the seller has sold comic for over $10,000 and has 100% rating. Being that this was the first time I use this board To buy a book which he suggested to purchase the item I wondered what’s the point of making a deal on this board if you can just pull out and not even tell the buyer?

    To kairos.

It was stated in the thread "PayPal Only". I do not have to offer another method. And I think it goes without saying that it must be delivered to an address that matches the one on paypal.  Nobody in their right mind would send something to a different address than whats on the paypal account  regardless of what you say board rules are. In this case however he openly said that he does not live at the address on his paypal anymore. Common sense tells me that is not acceptable either.

And there was discussion before I refunded the money to him, He posted the private text message of me telling him that right here on page one. I told him I was going to refund his money. And based on his reaction to me refunding his money I will not proceed with him anymore. I think I have the right to make that decision. And if I don't according to board rules then so be it.

This is silly how many people use other people’s address to have their items delivered because it might be a safer location than their own To have their package delivered. Some people don’t live in a safe neighborhood and have their packages delivered to their brothers address, their jobs etc. Then he went about without notifying me at all that the deal was off. To find out that the he canceled the deal I had to reach out to him to find out. I reached out for a tracking number and found out that he had canceled the deal. Didn’t give me any options.

You know what? Maybe we could have proceeded after I refunded his money and he then updated his paypal info. But it never got to that point because he got all dramatic about it once I refunded the money. And I don't want to do business with someone like that. What some of you are people seem to disregard is that it is my comic. And if I choose not to sell it to someone that my right.

If nothing shady went on then can you please just re-post the comic to give somebody else an opportunity to purchase. That is if you still have the comic?

    I'll weigh in FWIW.

    1. Do we have 'kids' shelling out nearly two grand for books on here? My point being being older than someone does not mean you are automatically in the right, nor should you patronise anyone just because of their age. I am one of the oldest Boardies I guess, and occasionally I will patronise someone, but only because they are a d**k.

    2. If the seller pulled the sale because of a non-matching address on paypal I can totally understand that. However the seller should have explained this properly before issuing the refund in order to give the buyer a chance at some sort of redress.

3.If the seller pulled the sale in order to make a few extra bucks after the deal was done, that is not cool.

4.It happened to me a while back, when a certain seller cancelled the sale and sold it to a higher offer after the deal was done.I'm sure some will remember that.

5.If I were the buyer in this case I would put it down to experience, move along the bus and never deal with that person again.

    6. If I were the seller I would maybe put explicit rules in my sales thread so as to avoid this happening again.

    7. Thankfully nobody lost any money.

    8. I would never sell a book to an unconfirmed ppal address personally unless I knew the boardie, or had dealt with them before and trusted them.

    9. Mike's wife was fibbing, he is weird.

    Conclusion:

Bit of a storm in a tea cup, but I guess it passes the time...

Agreed with everything said above. I would still be interested to see him put the book up to prove he has not sold it to somebody else.

  7. 1. You canceled on a deal without notifying the other party .

    2. When I reached out to you You did not give me a straight answer and told me you were canceling because PayPal and eBay don’t have phone support.

    3. Then On this post you try to make it seem that I Still wanted you to ship to a different address than the one on my PayPal when you knew I was OK with you shipping it to my PayPal address . Trying to be deceiving.

    4. As per our last conversation you did not let me know that you were I’m uncomfortable shipping to my current PayPal address so at least we could work it out. I could’ve contacted PayPal and have them change it or just went into PayPal myself and change the shipping address and all your fears would’ve been put to rest. But you never gave any of that opportunity to happen.

At this point as soon as I figure out how to  Nominate this issue for the PL I shell.

  8. You still don’t get it. When you are old enough maybe one day you will. This is like closing on a house and two days later you find out the deal was off and no one bothered to inform you. Less I told you to send it to the current PayPal address and you never Express that there was an issue. I had to reach out to you after I saw the refund. The unprofessionalism is a question here. At least if you backed out of the deal it would’ve been courteous for you to let me know.

So the facts are that I changed the price on the post from 1700 to 1850 after the buyer said he'll take it for 1700? I then sold it to another person for 1850 and refunded the buyers 1700 immediately? I want it to be clear exactly what you are accusing me of. So is that it detective? Is that correct? Try to answer that directly please?

I thought you didn’t care what he thought or what anyone else thought?

  10. I think weirdos are people that post books for sale then they cancel the agreement without telling the other party Then come up with three different reasons why they did that all the while saying they don’t care what people think and then go on to justify everything to them. WEIRDO

  11. This guys keeps changing his reasons why he didn’t ship.

    1. PayPal and eBay don’t have phone support

    2. seller asked to ship to different PayPal address. (But he omitted that I told him it was fine to ship to that address)

    3. Now it’s cause I don’t live there.

if he would have had a conversation with me about it maybe he would of found out that I own the condo that it’s going to but I would rather not bother the tenet especially with this Covid19 thing. I would have just picked it up at the Post Office with my Drivers license ID. But now I see something more nefarious was going on.

  12. What I do know is I agreed to his terms. I paid the man his money. I asked if The item could be shipped to my new address he said no and I replied no problem ship it to the PayPal address. Next day no notice deal is off. To be honest if I knew that was his big issue I would have picked up the item he doesn’t live that far from me in NJ. Only reason I post is that it frustrating when these kids don’t follow through and think it’s ok. He didn’t even try to communicate with me about the deal being off. He keeps saying “let it go” but that because this is all his doing I did my part.

  13. I have been a long time member here at CGC but have never bought a book on the forum untill Thursday. I agreed to the sellers terms and sent payment. Today I notice that the money has been refunded and I contacted Professor Chaos and he notified me that the deal was off. Is there anything that can be done about this. It’s so unprofessional.

According to him this why he is backing out. “No sale. Dont resend. Give it a month 9.0s will sell for 1400 or 1500. Because paypal and ebay are a mess right now. They dont even have phone support. Its too easy for sellers to get screwed right now. Like i said prices are dropping fast. You get one much cheaper “
