  1. Hi, looks like one of my SDCC signature series drop offs was marked for fast tracking.  2806190. I took a photo of the order form at SDCC and you can clearly see it was meant to be processed normally.  I tried emailing submissions@cgccomics.com when the order appeared in the system but they have yet to respond and I was charged for the fast tracking this morning.  The email contains my full order form.  If you need me to message the entire form, let me know.

  2. I have been seeing un-centered variant notations pretty often online for mostly signature series books.  Why does this happen? It is an incredible eyesore and is always the first thing I notice when I look at a slab has this.  Please don't tell me this is intentional and would qualify for an ME.  This example is not my book but makes me scared for the 25 odd signature books I have pending from SDCC.

I get what you're saying, but it's been a year and that's a bunch of books (assuming you listed your pre-orders), I wouldn't hesitate to fire off an email. Squeaky wheel and all that. The dude who runs the Whatnot is like the AC lead in the states. You can ask on one of their lives.

Basically they had an issue with their facilitators and has to resubmit everything back in May.

Did you reach out to customer service? What did they tell you? I got two signed books from them off the Artgerm Collective Whatnot channel and paid for CGC and they were shipped to me within 6 weeks.

Whatnot operates a bit differently since those are books on hand and the artist is usually at the show.  They also enforce a time limit on when books have to ship.  Website is a bit different since they are usually preorders and they have to get the books to the artists overseas or wait until theres a stateside event.  I'm expecting to just hear something about delays at CGC or their warehouse from customer support service and would rather know other what other people are experiencing.

  5. Has anyone else been been waiting over a year for signature series slabs from artgermcollectibles.com? I know it's can take a while since the artists are not based in the US, but since they're done US shows this year it can't be just because of that right?

Please let me know if you've placed an order on any of the below and are either still waiting or have gotten your order:

    X-Men Hellfire Gala 1

    Action Comics 1046

    Harley Quinn 30th anniversary

    A.X.E. Judgment Day 6

    Human Target 7

    Street Fighter Master Chun Li

    Wildcats 1

    Tiger Division 1

    Gun Honey Blood for Blood

  6. Hi CGC,

Is it normal for signature series books to go straight to CCS upon receipt?  I thought pressing happened after the signing, but submission 4271848 is already at "Received at CCS".  This is for the Brooks signing whose submission deadline is still open.  If pressing before signing means I get it back faster, I'm all for it lol - long as it's still signed of course. Thanks!

  7. So... Went on CGC autopilot and forgot to initial box for the Artgerm signing before dropping it off at the post office.  Since deadline isn't until May 12th and box should arrive by the end of the week via USPS flat rate.  It should be ok even with the sorting delay right? Right?

  8. Hi CGC,

Will CGC be able to grade modern video games in steelbook cases?

If so, will they need to have the disc/cartridge shipped inside to qualify as sealed?  Sealed steelbooks often include an O-Ring slipcase - should they be submitted inside the slipcase?

If the manufacturer included the steelbook separately from the regular sealed game, can the contents be transferred over to the steelbook for a CIB grade?

  9. Hi CGC,

Over time I have accumulated a number of books with errors on the label: incorrect issue, variant, creator, and misalignment (right justification on text instead of center justification).  Would these books still be eligible for ME submissions to get the label fixed?  These are outside the normal window for ME re-submissions and a number have been acquired from another party.  It seems a bit odd to pay for the corrections since I'd assume CGC wants to keep their census as accurate as possible.

  10. Sorry to piggyback on this thread but does this also apply for show drop offs? I turned in a book at SDCC - booth personnel said it would be fine.  It won't technically be at Sarasota office by the cutoff date, but was "received" and dated by CGC on the packing slip.

  11. Anyone else just getting books back from the last price increase? My submission from the month right after the announcement just hit quality control.  I'm wary that submitting now will tack on an extra wait of several months... books that were submitted after the price hike came back 2 months ago.

  12. Just had a modern slow track that has been in G/E/I since July get passed by another order that was submitted a month later to G/QC.  Should I be concerned?
