I'm not surprised, as the quality control at CGC has been total garbage lately.  Both the books I sent in for the Claremont signing came back damaged and a completely incorrect label (how does this get out the door?).  I sent them back in to hopefully get them fixed (pressed) a month ago with an "expedited" turnaround and they're still sitting in received status.

It seems they care more about getting new signings queued up then actually fixing the problems they caused.  This is not the same company it was a year ago.

    This ^^^^^

I legit just came here after seeing someone in a FB group post a fresh 9.8 sig series that was slabbed upside down. How does that get out the door?! Lots of QC horror stories have been popping up since the private signings started to ramp up. I commend CGC for coordinating these and giving collectors something to get excited about while shows are on hiatus, but it's very clear they aren't prepared to handle the volume they're doing at the TAT's they're promising.

I also just received my JSC books and one of them came back with a "bonus" color-breaking spine tick that wasn't there when I sent it in, and of course right on the one small swatch of black. Easy 9.8 became a 9.6. It's a low monetary value book, but one I wanted for my PC nonetheless. I had been sitting on a few copies for a couple of years waiting for a chance to get one signed, so thanks CGC. (Also could not have been damaged in transit; I subbed multiple books and the way they were packed it wouldn't be possible for only one to have this kind of damage).

I've been building up a box of blue label subs and was waiting to send them in until the private signing rush died down a bit and TAT got better, but now I'm debating where they're even being sent.

This technically has nothing to do with In house sketch or remarks .  What this is referring to is if you have a book you were sending to an artist to have them sign, sketch or remark and they were going to send it directly to CGC with the Creator Agreement Form ( what is required to maintain chain of custody for the CGC Signature Series) and you wanted that book to also be sent in for an In House Signing event that CGC would allow this if the artist you originally sent it to also filled out the in house submission form you could get the submission to retain its Yellow Label.

Yikes! I definitely misread the thread, I think because the same person responded to both and I totally mixed them up

What I was actually curious about is this:

If I submitted a blank book to CGC for Mark Brooks to do a remark with that be cheating or disrespectful? His remarks are about as large as a regular sketch. I wonder if CGC would allow it? Any thoughts?

In my case it's more a question of remarque options/etiquette. I think I'm going to roll the dice and leave a note politely asking. Worst case it comes back with just a sig (shrug)

I appreciate the idea to ask them directly and have posted my question. I will update when I find an answer. I agree definitely uncharted, which is why I was curious about their response.  Thank you.

Curious about this, and remarque requests as well. I've seen some remarques in other signings, and there's a video of Crain doing a sketch cover. Not sure if this was an option for certain subs or just done at the artists's discretion if someone left a spot open and with a note on the tape/bag? Would love to shoot my shot with JSC on a remarque.

Have The Walking Dead Custom CGC Labels been retired?  I was able to purchase them at the end of July 2020, but now I'm not seeing that option and have been hearding they've been retired.  Can you confirm?

Looks like it happened quietly? Shawn Kirkham at Skybound was even surprised to hear it on this month's Comics Vault livestream. Bummer to see, given the JSC announcement. Would've loved the Michonne label on my TWD 19 15th variants.
