  1. I’ve read many forum topics on shipping & insurance and am still confused! I have a $30,000+ valued collection of 275 books I need to ship across the country. Though I will break up collection into 40 comic packs, I need to insure the suckers. What is cheapest & most reliable way to get them to the collector? Should I use USPS, UPS, FEDEX, or privately insure (for a week) then not buy insurance. This is an inherited collection without individual receipts. What should I do??

I’ve considered selling to a local dealer but will take a 50% hit. To a collector, I only need to take a 15-20% hit.

  2. I had a potentially trimmed comic. I measured edges and compared then compared dimensions with comics that were definitely not trimmed (according to CGC Dealer. Inside edge of the back cover was 1/16” smaller than outside edge, so may have been trimmed (inside pages were not affected). Front cover passed tests, so was not trimmed. If this approach is flawed, I’d love some feedback!
