YES !!! and also remember "scrambles" when you'd stand out in the playground at recess and basically throw away all of your triples and quadruples and watch everyone lose their mind fighting each other to grab everything they could !!?? Was so fun in Canada (i'm from Toronto) being 10-12 in the late 70's and in love with hockey and hockey cards
That 90's craze started by Upper Deck - what a scam that was. I have everything still, and it's worth about a penny a card, if even that. Still love my collection though.
The mass production era unfortunately. Comics in the 90's were also mass produced and worthless. As far as cards go I have collected bobby Orr stuff for over a decade and I can tell you his stuff is on a whole other level. I picked up his 1966 Topps rookie in a PSA 8 for $14,000 5 years ago and the last PSA 8 sold for about $45,000. Vintage is the best in my opinion. Just have to be very cautious with the card trimmers out there. The grading companies are unfortunately a joke but the holders just bring an insane $.

What is the age of the book we're talking about? If Copper or Modern, try finding a 9.8 that DOESN'T have white pages. For Bronze and Silver, I try to stay away from Cream/OW but anything better than that is fine.
late 60's and all of the 70's.

Let's say you are looking to purchase a 9.8 of a comic you are collecting for a set, are you looking for only white pages or are off white pages acceptable to you? Just curious if some are paying a premium for white pages over off white pages. Thanks

Celebrity Signed Books
in The Signature Room
Posted
I own a 7.0 Star Trek #1 that I posted a while back with 5 signatures and have been trying to upgrade for a little over 10 years now but everything that has come up in that time has had 4 or less signatures. I was just looking for the same number of signatures or more but I have never seen 5 or more excluding the one I got back in 2010. I just wanted a better condition #1 and finally it has shown up. Just can't believe it took 10 years for it to happen.
