Hi folks,
I picked up an FF 45 but it was in far rougher shape than I thought. I’ve never had a book this old or in this shape. Any ideas on a grade or if I should even bother with grading? The only things not visible in the photos are a 1 inch tear on 3 interior pages and the bottom staple is no longer attached to the cover. Pages aren’t brittle but feel a leathery. Thanks for your thoughts.

I bought this Uncanny X-Men 282 from Heroes Cards & Comics From London, Ontario in 1991 on the shelf. They had a stack signed copies beside their regular copies with a placard stating “Signed by Artist”. The signature is on page 3. The comics were already signed and I didn’t see the actual signature process.
This doesn’t look like any signature I’ve seen online from Whilce Portacio but I’ve also not seen any from 1991.
Does anyone recognize this signature?
I also have Uncanny X-Men 275 with a supposed Jim Lee signature on an interior page through the same process at the same comic shop but it looks identical to ones I’ve seen on cards from 1991.

Hi folks,
I picked up a copy of FF45 and it’s a lot rougher than I had thought. I’ve attached lots of photos. What you can’t see is that there is a 1 inch tear through 3 interior pages. The paper tan and leathery feeling. The bottom staple is no longer attached to the cover.
I’m wondering if this is worth grading and what that grade could be. I’ve never had comics this age or grade. Thanks for your thoughts folks.
