  1. I really want to send in 2 comics for Andrew Garfield because he's always been my favorite Spiderman. I've literally waited for 3 years for him to come to CGC but now I seriously dislike the new labels, I mean come on, how do you get rid of the Classic Spiderman Label!?!? Question, can I request the a retired label? Thanks in advance!

  2. To start with, I am by no means complaining at all. I would just like to know why the long wait time in turn around times. I understand it's subject to change but I'm more interested in if it's due to covid, loss of man power, more comics being sent in, etc.

Any, thanks CGC. Still looking forward to my submissions.

    1.  You’re welcome.

    2.  You didn’t ask a question.

    3. Grading is subjective.

    4. Books can be damaged in transit and even occasionally during grading.

    5.  Using justifications of “being bagged and boarded of the store shelf” for high condition is terminology that betrays inexperience with grading.

    6. as stated by others, sometimes it takes different angles and different lighting to see defects.

    7.  CGC does actually make grading mistakes, hopefully quite rare, but they do.  If you’re sure an injustice has occurred, contact Cgc about potential remedies (I don’t know if there are any other than resubmit, but who knows?).

    Good luck

You're right, I didn't and should have asked for opinions but since I never encountered an issue like this, I guess I just wanted opinions and thoughts about what I should do. But thank you for the responses, I really appreciate them all.

Did you take scans before? Have you ever submitted before?

Understand that your grading and CGC's grading can be different levels.
I suggest you visit the grading thread to see if your grading matches the books before you submit again.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I've sent in over 30 books for grading and gotten back from 4.5s to 9.8s and have agreed with them all but this is the only one I strongly disagree with. I did not take scans beforehand.

  5. Sent in an ASM comic which is in mint condition and has always been in a bag and board, even when I bought it from the comic shop. I inspected it thoroughly and didn't see any defects, especially being a brand new comic. It came back as a 9.2 with grader notes saying light bends to cover, which I do not see at all and clearly do not agree with the grading.

    Thanks in advance

    Jason

  6. Hello everyone! Questions...

    1)     I'd like to get a comic signed by Jason David Frank. That being said, let's say I send it in for a signature and obviously get it capsulated with a yellow label. And later down the road I see that the artist is also doing signings, can I send the same comic in to get the artists signature too? So that I have both signatures with a yellow label?

    2)     I have a yellow label slab with Stan Lee's signature but it has an old cgc holder/case. If I send it in for a newer slab casing, will they honor the yellow label or give me a green one?

    Thank you in advance!

The dates are strange for that issue accodring to this https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Amazing_Spider-Man_Vol_5_14

Published in march, but released in jan of the same year. Try using the 3/19 on the CGC form.

Awesome! That definitely worked. I have one last question, if for some reason I am wrong with the variant or date of comic due to error will the labels be wrong when being slabbed? Or will CGC find and fix the error?
