Allentown is the poster child for quality over quantity. The promise collection is both quality and quantity which is quite unusual. I am wondering if anyone has seen any of these promise slabs in person yet? The Cap allentown #1 had a million dollar offer many years ago. It will be interesting to see how they compare in person to Chuch or SF.

  3. Yes, the Aurora and Ohio books exhibit the "C" distributor code. Thanks for the additional info regarding the east coast.  I noticed these multiple codes and suspected that the collection was "pieced together" rather than genuine "O-O" newstand purchased.  This prompted me to go through the effort to validate the story put forth by Heritage.

  4. Several days ago, I ascertained the identities of the brothers in about two hours without too much trouble. I respect the wishes of the family as to disclosure.

I recognized the coding on the front covers immediately, similar to those seen on several GA books obtained from a dealer who found around 150 books in a storage unit.

The storage unit is located approximately 30 miles from the address of the recently passed brother!

  5. How about a dozen cool comics featuring Matt Baker art?  Some other nice art by Kirby, Colletta, Williamson as well.

All complete, collectible books in very good  condition, plus or minus.

$500 shipped USPS Priority Mail within US with tracking and insurance.
