They just dont sell.  I hate it when ppl say wow just buy all them longboxes and at $2 a book $60,000!!!!
Nope.  Or when they say 'just bundle em up in packs and $5 a pack!!!  $$$$
    Nope nope nope.
    NOPE

I mean I bought several books at $2-$3 a piece and maybe im to dumb to know what I’m spending money on. I enjoy the purchases and the flipping from time to time I don’t know what the problem here is. I bought out a dude in Omaha that posted a flea market stand with comics and he delivered it to me and I paid him $1 an issue and I turned around and sold it all within 2 days and doubled up. I’m assuming drek means trash. There isn’t much comics avaiable here and I also deal with people in other parts of the world and many have paid me $2-$3 an issue excluding shipping prices. I just don’t understand the negativity about people selling things at any price.

I am also assuming your quote is about me because I was asking about the 60 boxes and how I was doing the math. My problem is my kid wants to get into this while he has time and all his friends want to do comics as well so now there’s like a small comic club but there isn’t enough books for everyone.

So Dylan is going on a tangent on IG this morning...is there anyone here who believes that CGC did anything wrong, we’ve seen this submitters practices over the last few months...it’s becoming a huge issue for our hobby.

“ dylanuniversecomics_ CGC accepted my two Amazing Fantasy 15s with fully-attached-covers for walk-through grading and damaged both of them by fully detaching the covers.  This resulted in a decline in value of about $60k, according to the CGC labels I packaged these very carefully and paid over $2k  to grade because of insurance, where CGC now refuses to pay.. They've said that my irrefutable "before" pictures are not "convincing."

They detached both staples of both books and I'm very upset. I work very hard to make a living and I'm not gonna let a corporation steal from me.

I think this picture is pretty darn convincing..We all saw Matt Nelson's  video in which he so roughly handled that Superman #1. Of course, if you handle a book like a telephone book the covers could detach.

Many of us know of other horror stories of CGC of damaging books and not taking any responsibility.

Please share this everywhere, and call them and tell them this is not ok. Ask to speak to Matt, Harshen, or Brittany. Leave messages. Use #67.

    Their # is 1-877-NM-COMIC

Because if my $60k doesn't get paid back,  they won't pay you when they damage your comics that are $600, $6,000, or $600,000.

If I don't get restitution, we as a comic book community #igcomicfam say it is OK for CGC to damage our comic books and not pay us. Let them know that it's not OK!.

Think carefully about sending books to CGC unless you have an A+ lawyer ready because you will have to fight like hell to get paid when your precious books get damaged..

Imagine how much harder my fight would be if I did not have photos of before-grading.

Spread this like wildfire because your comics are at stake here, too.

    The world is watching...

    Does this happen a lot?

New members join the CGC boards everyday, but some just lurk around without saying too much. The point of this thread is to give a heartfelt welcoming, and encourage our new boardies to introduce themselves and say hi.

Hopefully, with your time spent here, you will learn some things, make some friends, and ultimately, enjoy yourselves. (thumbs u

I'll start. I'm Andy. I love DC war comics, but have branched out into every which direction you can think of. Right now, I'm right into Golden Age books and classic covers. :luhv:

Don't be afraid to ask any questions. That's how you're going to learn. :) We do, however, have a search engine, and some people may end up asking you to use it. To save yourself a potential smidgen of ridicule, you could consider trying that first. :foryou:

So, without taking up any more of your valuable time, I'll step back from the podium and pass the microphone to you.

    welcome.gif

Thanks. Much appreciated. I was on here trying to see if anyone had insights of the sixty boxes. But the only thing anyone is concerned about is hulk 1 no insight on the sixty boxes I mean the way I look at it is 250comics x 60= 15,000 comics x $2 on the resell could yield me a good $30k for my kid. Anything else of value will just be icing on the cake. I wanted to start a little selling space for my kid but unfortunately some already think I’m part of this whole thing. I’ll just keep reading other threads and stay out of this one.

I joined this forum so that I can speak with people and buy some graded stuff for my kid but I don’t think that will happen because of the hate I see around here. And before anyone thinks I’m this fluffy bunny character your more than welcome to private message me and get my picture address and phone number. And now I feel I’m already targeted by trollers so this isn’t a safe place for me or my kids to even go on here with my account and start reading anything.

    But thanks
