Soft corners, bottom-left corner condition, and spine tics.
In your opinion, would this benefit from cgc restoration services? NVM, think I answered my own question.

It's a smoker! Among fastballs, it's the Goose's 9th inning, 99 MPH high heat, rising right up in your face. Only when you've seen a large number of these over the years will you fully realize how exceptional the colors, thus paper quality is. Enjoy it, it's a rare beauty.
I will enjoy! And I appreciate your words and kindness!!!

This is where I may have leaned except for one factor. The WOW factor. The colors here are indicative of a Pedigree copy. Just look at that stark contrast between the dark and light lavender in the art at the bottom, and how boldly the gray divides those two colors. The yellow, greens, etc.; fresh as the day printed. It's an exceptional 7.5, thus 8.0 overall, IMO. But, list it on ebay and the eye appeal will warrant a result one full grade better than the market value of the CGC label grade it gets!
You are awesome! I’m definitely going to keep it for a while before I put it on auction! I truly appreciate your optimism! Made my day! Thank you!

My opinion...the book is probably between a 7.5-8.0 with or without the dust shadow and not worth restoring. Enjoy it as is.
Thank you for your replies. Will take everything into consideration. Will do!

Dust shadow...7.5
Is there natural restoration to take care of shadows or anything else wrong? Don’t really want to spend the restoration money if it’s not worth it. What’s your opinion? Thank you for the reply

"When a backing is placed in the center of the comic it protects the comic book spine from crushing. The second purpose for using a backing board in a comic is its potential to neutralize acid in the comic book paper. Acid in the paper that the comic is printed can cause the deterioration of the comic."
Thank you sooooo much!!!

I’m currently in an amazing business deal right now with someone on CPG. They are willing to sell me there entire collection of 6,000+ comics fair valued over $60,000 for a fraction of the price they said... my question is not about that but I have already purchased comics from him and he really knows how to take care of his comics. One thing in particular though I noticed is that he places the board in the middle of the comic and then puts it in the bag so you can see both front and back of comic. My question is, is this is reliable way to store comics for a future date? Or should I take them back out and make sure the board is on the back of the comic... does the board cause damage long term if it stays in the middle of the comic? Thank you for any reply or advice!

I'm at 8.0. great purchase. 10cent Supeys are really hard to find in high grade.
Found it at a local comic shop.. I over heard the shop owner saying it was a very nice piece, to someone else in the store. Next day I bought it 😂 took a risk, looks like it will pay off. Was kinda worried at first when I seen the stamp. Thank you for your reply!! When I get it graded I will definitely post it on here again!

You can get your books cleaned and pressed from CGC before grading.
Otherwise you can opt for members here who provide pressing services but faster turnaround times. And then submit to CGC.
I’m grateful for the suggestion. Thank you!

8.0 An 8.5 with a shadow.
And are there any natural restorations services through CGC that I should consider to try to get a better grade?

Ah, ok so shadow is the shadows on the comic haha. Ok, so you mean 8.5 without all the shadows? So 8.0 because it has shadows?

8.5 with a shadow? Sorry, I’m still learning a lot! And thank you sooo much for your reply! I’m happy to hear the stamp does not effect the value too much! I’m happy with this purchase, I will definitely be getting it graded. I picked it up for $190. When it is graded I will post again for sure, the way things are it might take months... the virus is sure pushing everything back, plus the in-house signatures pushing everything. But when I get it back I will definitely let you know! Thank you again!

It’s ok to “touch” comics. I for one, would love to see what those two Black Lightning’s look like condition-wise.
If not tonight, tomorrow for sure

I’ll see what I can do tonight and I’ll post them in the please grade section. ❤️

Indeed, the expectations between a 6.5 and a 9.8 clearly mark the trail of tears that lead you along the muddy grading path. 9.8 is a rare bird. Actually a 6.5 ain't bad.
Haha I’m just being confident. Let me get some things graded and I’ll come back with my results. Whatever the grade is, doesn’t matter to me, eventually I can find a sucker a few years down the road and I’ll get my money back ❤️🤪
