About halfway through the run, someone decides to stop at Speedway Gas station on RT 30 out by Valparaiso. Whoever was in charge of that station probably had a heart attack when this mob pulls in there and engulfs the place. Bikes are wrapped all the way around the building.

o.k. here's what it looked like Sat at the Hometown Heroes run out of Crown Point Indiana. Did not get a count on the bikes. I'd say 400 +. This was to raise money for our law enforcement, fire fighters, and Vets. Temps about 80 and nice and sunny. First of all I noticed a very heavy police presence. This was an full police escorted ride and they did a great job of stopping all traffic at intersections and making sure everyone got the hell out of the way. From what I heard the local business's had been contacted by B.L.M and they were going to show up and stop the ride. We all had a good laugh. That would have been a big mistake. But no one showed up. I was wondering why the S.W.A.T truck was there, and this goofy armoured vehicle behind it. The square and sign up at the Safe House. The bikes are all staged around back.

Gila Monster Massacre is on SyFy tonight. Just sayin.

A few pics coming up from our Hometown Heroes run in a short bit. This was a benefit for our police, fire, and veterans all rolled into one. Really nice day out, weather was great.

he goes to the south side we'll be reading about him in the obituaries. take him down around 49th & Cottage for a world tour. I should go and ask if someone wants to play a fun round of pickup basketball. I know where some big courts are on Ashland. Trouble is, they only way they'll be able to identify you is from dental records. Only 40 shot and 5 dead last weekend in Chi Town. I'll stick with playing with old comic geeks. Good idea. The south side is war zone right now, especially on the weekends.
