What's the average time for a submission to be scanned once it is received?  I had my last order show on my tracking as delivered on Thursday 12/7/23 and has still yet to show up in my submissions or the tracking search.

I had a package that was delivered back on 11/15 and it was never scanned. My submission was marked as received the very next day though so it's a bit odd that yours is taking longer to be marked as received. There might be a bump in submissions. Perhaps people putting in submissions before their membership expired.

12 card Submission: 7 Reholder and 5 Economy
    Shipped: 11/14
    Delivered: 11/15

    Received 11/16

5 Economy went into Scheduled for Grading 11/29

Economy is now in Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging.11/30

    Reholder still in Received.

Economy shipped today. 2 of my cards got Pristine so I'm happy. Tried to bump up a card from 8.5 to 9 but sadly stayed at an 8.5.

  3. One thing that I noticed with the changeover of the website is none of the QR codes on CGC TCG slabs take you directly to the certification info anymore. The QR codes for the TCG labels were coded to go to cgccomics.com but now entering in any TCG cert number in the comics site brings up an error message. I know the TCG site has their own cert lookup page but it's a bummer that one million + QR codes no longer work as intended.

Hopefully this is can be dealt with via some housekeeping on the backend.

  4. For higher-end cards, especially Holos, it's not a bad idea to get subgrades. It helps the owner and potentially the buyer know why the card got the grade that it did.

For example, I recently submitted a Shining Charizard card. It was in a binder all this time and it came back an 8.5. I was curious as to why so I looked at the subgrades, 3 of them were 9 but corners was an 8 which dropped the score down. And looking back when I was submitting I did remember noticing some whitening on the back of the corners and some weren't as round as pristine corners should be.

So that's pretty much it, less guess work needed to understand why your card got the grade it did.
