My 10 card economy moved to QC/finalized on friday, i got charged that friday also. it shipped today. It could be fast cause it was 10 cards, yours is 52 cards so expect a longer time in QC, i can see you getting charged soon. lets hope it ships out around Friday
2/12 bulk w/subgrades actually shipped today so you were right, not long after! But man, did CGC get tougher on centering? Felt like most of my centering subgrades were 8.5, 35/52 were.

Anyone know why the subgrades of 9-9-10-9.5 make a card a 9 as opposed to a 9.5?
CGC has mentioned before that if the two lowest sub grades on a card are identical, then the overall grade will be that lowest subgrade. I personally have seen this to be pretty consistent when the subgrades are all high.

Anyone know about how long Express submissions are taking to be received? I have an Express package delivered on May 7 and I thought it would be received by now
I had a walkthrough submission take a little under 2 weeks to be received, but only a couple days to be graded and shipped back to me. This was last week.

I've asked customer service if they've planned to have a two card slab before and they replied that there was nothing like that available.

I'll echo some of the other members in the thread and say something doesn't seem to be right and you should check with customer service. My recent walkthrough order was in line with my expectations regarding TAT. Honestly the weirdest thing about my order was that it was in "Grading/Quality Control" for so long since the order was only 5 cards. My other EX/WK orders usually go from grading to shipped very quickly and normally reaching that point takes the longest.
Service: WalkThrough
Delivered Date: 3/29/2021
Received Date: 3/31/2021
Shipped Date back to me: 4/5/2021

Hi Paul, thank you very much for the reply. The card is about 2-3 times thicker than a normal card with all other dimensions being the same. I'd say it's slightly more thick than 2 cards pressed together. Does that present an issue?

Hi, I was wondering if CGC graded the Japanese Sky Splitting Deoxys - Lenticular card? In the submission forms I see 3 valid card numbers for this card, 1/19, 2/19, and 18/PGC-P. I wasn't sure if either of those numbers were for the lenticular version so I'm curious if CGC grades this card.
Thanks!

Thank you for the replies! I did not specifically secure the cards but I did use card saver 1's. I am under the same impression as Michael that they are suppose to prevent that, but I feel the extra security can't hurt for next time. I'm thinking somehow I must have gotten some fingerprints or something on the card because I was getting like 9.5's/10's for corners and edges for some cards but the surface was like 8.5's/8's. From grades I've seen other people receive it's quite rare to have the surface be the subgrade that drags down the card.

I’ve also pulled some cards from blister packs lately that literally had scratches on them right out of the pack upon close inspection. Bad quality control or handling of items in the stores

Hi everyone, I recently saw my grades posted online for a small batch of Pokemon cards I sent in and noticed that almost all the cards I sent in had a lower surface subgrade than I expected. The centering, edges, and corners subgrades I received were in line with my expectations but I was surprised by how consistently penalized I was for surface.
Normally when I buy a card or open one from a pack it goes right into a sleeve and top loader and for this small batch I really didn't really notice any scratches but obviously I cant see everything. I was curious if anyone had any insight on what kinds of things penalizes the surface subgrade. I know things like scratches or print lines would but would a stray finger print or anything along those lines also heavily impact the score?
Thanks!

I want to say that at certain grades, a card can only score so far above it's lowest grade. I think a card with three 10's and one 8 might not be a 9.5 since CGC might cap it at a 9 or 8.5
