  1. Thanks! I don't know who had it signed but they sure picked a nice copy.
  2. I DID have a blue 2.5 that I sold, I think on here, but then it may have wound up on eBay later. I'd recognize it if it was my old copy.
  3. Certified Dr. Fu Manchu cover to certified Dr. Fu Manchu splash page.
  4. I bounce between #27 & #28 as a favorite ... any given day, it could be either one. Did you buy a copy of either issue from me? A few years ago, I had 4 copies of each. Down to one of each now.
  5. Not "new" as I got it back from CGC a few months ago but got a better pic of it today.
  6. Another Signature Series book I picked up. I didn't have any of them signed. They were all that way when I got them.
  7. Ok, well Heritage is beating me senseless, so I will keep posting some newly photographed comics. I've always felt this book gets a bit overlooked with the 26-28 trio preceding it. It's a great Schomburg firing squad cover!
  8. The story of my down mood? Funny books to the rescue! Nothing like seeing Cap beat the snot out some baddies! That and awesome music! I don't ALWAYS listen to awesome music, but when I do, so do my neighbors!
  9. We've got some boardies with high grade copies of these Caps, which is awesome to see! My wallet says nope.
  10. It's usually about trying to minimize glare for me photographing slabbed comics. FINALLY a decent pic of this one.
  11. This was the first one I tried to shoot (got some glare). I got better as I went along. I love this comic!
  12. So, in a crummy mood today (don't ask) and my cure was to fiddle with funny books! It occurred to me that the pics I had of some of my Timely comics looked like I photographed them while falling down a flight of stairs and being beaten with a hockey stick ... you know, NOT good. So I tried to rectify some of that. First off, the last one in got a new pic (yes, you have to see it again). Looks more accurate, as do most that I got pics of.
  13. You DO have a great collection!!! I'm like an hyperactive squirrel trying to cross an 8 Lane freeway!!! I have no idea what I'm doing!!!!
  14. Thanks! I'd been hunting for a 9.6 for a set I'm working on but I either can't find one or when I DO, they're disproportionately too expensive. This one will fit the bill just fine.
  15. Thanks KirbyJack! I've got lots to fill in on my want list still ...
  16. WOW!!! I had never seen the boxes designed for selling the coverless or topless books before!!! It's incredible that they survived!!! You've got quite an impressive batch of high-grade coverless books yourself!!! Thanks for the props on the Atlas copies I grabbed. I used to call them the "White page coverless books" but felt they deserved a proper name, which actually came pretty organically one day. Looking thru them as I take pics for this thread has been a treat, as it's been a little while since I've thumbed them up. Thanks for sharing your books and those boxes!!! Great, great stuff you've got there!!!
  17. How fortunate you were to find collections of books like this and some great forward thinking on your part to recognize what tremendous value you had in front of you! It's great that you still have them! They're probably worth a lot more than you think they are!
