  1. I wonder if they could speak of the adventures of "Softy" Jones these days?
  2. Some interior shots!! The first book in the picture is the page 1 splash to Lightning vol2 #2 & the second is the page 1 splash to Super Mystery vol3 #4. Sorry they're so small .....
  3. Jumbo 82, a big favorite of mine, with some interior shots from the lesser grade copy at the bottom!! Yeah, I know .... 3 copies is a lot for one guy to have
  4. All Top 18 with some interior shots Interior shots from the low grade copy at the bottom, which has a nice interior, but rough covers. I don't care .... I still like it
  5. Thanks CrocHntr!! A fella doesn't get a shot at many books in this condition
  6. Oh what the heck .... I know I've posted it here once before (maybe twice) but it HAS been quite a while, so once again .....
  7. I've only got one book from that run & while I'm pretty sure I've posted it here once before, it's been quite a while, so here it is again
  8. Saw it & backed off at that end .... I'm happy that I didn't cost you any extra $$ (thumbs u
  9. Very well thought out Cat (thumbs u With the exception of your Subby 10, you visually left out the period that is one of my very favorites of his work: Late 1942 - 1943. While you & I collect in a different grade range, I hope you'll enjoy these lesser grade examples all the same Cover date 10/42 Cover date 5/43 Cover date 6/43 Cover date 7/43 Cover date 8/43 (referencing issue 29) Cover date 10/43 The comics pictured above represent some of my favorite Schomburg covered issues from 10/42 - 10/43 that I personally own. There are many others in that timeframe that I currently do not have a copy of in my collection. This period is a favorite for several reasons: My favorite string of Schomburg Cap's 26 - 33, Schomburg is at his most inventive peak (my opinion, but think of how many in this era are considered "classics") & before they start to look more "cookie-cutter", the issues hadn't shrunk in size yet - still big fat funny books, only within the last half dozen years or so have many of them taken off in price. Some are still VERY affordable!!! All of this is just my opinion, agree or disagree, I'm sure we can ALL agree that Alex Schomburg has made Golden Age much more interesting & fun to collect
  10. Nice looking book! What did it grade out as? Thanks much sir They graded it a 6.0 unrestored with off white/white pages. me some nice pages

  13. These Wonderworlds were here and gone in a heartbeat!! Congrats on the quick sale my friend thats awesome!! (thumbs u Thanks Gino! I let 'em go 'cause I knew it'd be too tough to add any more.
  14. Very nicely presenting copy, I have one too... Sweet copy Steve I think CGC was kinda hard on mine when they graded it. No matter, it's free to be thumbed & enjoyed. I don't have a pic of it, but the back cover has a cool store stamp from Taft Drug Store ... if memory serves, in Lansing Michigan & an arrival date. VERY cool thing that makes me smile every time I see it. I wonder if it's still there & in operation .....
  15. True - I've opportunities to purchase Larson strip-reprint books but made the decision long ago not to collect them. I thank you for that Steve, as I'm CERTAIN that decision has allowed me to purchase a few Larson's that wouldn't have been available otherwise (thumbs u
  16. Well thank you sir It was well worth doing, as it's pretty neat inside, if you like the pre-hero type of material .... which I do
  17. I guess this qualifies too It's a beater, but for the princely sum of $100 American, I've already gotten a good deal of enjoyment out of it
  18. I can't contribute much to this thread, but I cracked this one out & it's much nicer than the grade they gave it .... nice pages too (thumbs u
