  1. I've heard complaints over the years that some think Schomburg's covers all look the same. While I don't agree with that, I will concede that once the Timely books become smaller in width, many of the covers have more of a similar look to them. I much prefer the half dozen or so BIG FAT Timely covers Schomburg did in the Cap run, which is why some of those are the ones I held on to at a time I needed to liquidate comics to take care of life situations. In my opinion, this 4-issue consecutive block is pretty hard to beat!
  2. WOW Jeremy, you are really making some huge progress on your Tec run!!! Well done!!!
  3. In my opinion, one of Schomburg's best covers in the Cap run!!! In the top 5 best of his in that run for me!
  4. I just got a cool Detective Comics 1000 in today with a 1940s variant cover by Bruce Timm who I think did an excellent job reimagining Jerry Robinson's original cover.
  5. It's a beauty just as it is and that's how I'd leave it if it was mine. No, white pages aren't common among Golden Age books, but not unheard of either. A lot of pedigree copies have white pages and some non-pedigree copies do as well. Most consider it a big bonus to have white pages, and many pay some amount of a premium for white pages.
  6. KILLER copy right here!!!! I'm happy enough to be in the back seat on THIS one! They get expensive if you want nice copies!
  7. Shooting gun out of hand to backhanding guns out of hands.
  8. I just got this in today and the cover is AWESOME!!! Bruce Timm did an incredible job with this reimagined cover art!!!
  9. A cover art comparison on the Kid Colt Outlaw title has several artists getting cover duties! The first here is Joe Maneely, the second (issue 82) is credited to Carl Burgos (sorry about the glare), the third cover is by John Severin, the fourth is Jack Kirby, the fifth is Don Heck and the sixth being Richard Ayers. Quite a feat, Jack Kirby drew the covers for issues #87 - #112 uninterrupted!
  10. A little pre-Marvel Kid Colt Outlaw cover art comparison on the Gunsmoke Western title: The first posted being John Severin, the second Joe Maneely and finally Jack Kirby. Kirby would take over cover duties until the titles end at issue #56. Jack Davis also did some covers between #42 & #56 ... I just don't have any of those issues. Sorry, the color is a bit off register on the #60.
  11. I coincidentally was just looking at this issue!
  12. A tiny consecutive group shot of some of my Caps.
  13. That's gonna be all for right now. I may have a few more later tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for taking a look.
