  1. I would just google the name and number and value. It will let you pick below and choose gocollect.com. it will show a picture of the front cover and then look at the grades. The grades are subjective. Cgc is the best and most recommended, but the waiting list to grade can take 6 months. Even if a comic looks new might grade and 8.0 or 9.0. If comic is well read and in rough shape may only grade and 1.0 or 2.0 and if decent shape with only few minor stress in binding might grade a 5.0 to 7.0. If you're fathers collection is in early 1960's could be valuable and Avengers and Spiderman good comics to check first, and if any number 1 thru 10 on them great value. Hope this helps, my rule of thumb is don't send to CGC unless you think it is worth 100.00 or more.

I feel your pain, I had a signature series book stuck in GEI for over 2 months that finally shipped this month. Longest I had ever waited before this book was a couple of weeks.

I still have a group of 8 comics that are showing received in July 24th and was hoping to get them back by Christmas and no luck.  Hoping though the Silver Surfer #1  and Avengers 57 grade out good though. I will probably call them tomorrow and try and get estimated time to be completed. Seems the bigger the group the longer it takes them.

    I have Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars 1984 #'s 1 through 12
    And
Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars II 1985 #'s 1 through 9
All of these are in plastic sleeves with backer boards

    Should I have these CGC'ed
This is just the beginning of another 400+ or so to sort through

My comics I am sending to CGC have to be looked at really close for my guess on grading and need to try and be worth 100.00 or more for me to send them to cgc.  Otherwise I have like 250 or 300 comics as a kid. So go through all of them carefully and slowly and look up the ones might be worth money.

  4. CGC received my first shipment on 3/23/2021 at 3pm and I am hoping it gets checked in this next week or next?  I am really excited to see how they grade, as I have been trying to figure out and study the grading scales. Once, I get confirmation and grades on them. I will send another batch of comics that I collected as a kid. I am just glad I bagged and stored my comics in the 1970's in dark dry place in the home.

  5. I sent my first set of comics and did insurance on them and tracking. They received them on 3/23/2021 and hopefully in the next week or two they will show up in the inventory list to be checked in. I want to send another set of comics soon, but would like to see this first one on how the process goes. But getting excited though!
