Very nice, very dangerous.

Those are beautiful. I love the Shadow.
A few new Shadows (30 in all) that I picked up from the "Strasser" collection. All are virtually unread, have off-white to white paper, and are now in my personal collection!
"Death Jewels" August 1, 1938
"River of Death" March 1st, 1939
'The Green Hoods" August 15, 1938
"The Golden Vulture" July 15, 1938
"Smugglers of Death" June 1, 1939
"The Lone Tiger" Feb. 15, 1939 ....The only Shadow pulp that shows The Shadow and all of his agents on the cover....(I guess we know where All Star #3 stole its cover from).

One more Planet:
-
Picked this up at Chicago courtesy of Mr. Bedrock. My second Planet, and second favorite cover after the woman in the bubble (#44). "Death Rays From the Sun!" gets me.

Authentic Police Cases. This one is a little rough, only VGish, but it was cheap and a perfect fit for this niche:
-
I promised to post a few more after Wiz Chicago: here is Justice Traps the Guilty #2, sniper cover, a nice book:
-
I have several Vampi covers that I like a lot, but this is my personal fav

Here is my #3, kind of tough to find a nice one:
-
Just got this in today. Really cool book with some nice interior art. Thanks Grails!
it's beautiful. And that is hard to find, at least for me, I don't have one.

I have noticed that, thanks to this thread and some research on my own I have a list of about 70 "bad girl" covers. I will be busy for a while.
As an added bonus, I have seen a lot of really cool crime covers that I am now interested in, and I know crime is an unloved niche.
I figured there were quite a few, but I had no idea. I just went to GCDB and typed in "Crime" and started looking at the cover galleries. I'm sure there are quite a few titles that don't include "crime" in the cover that would fall underneath the umbrella as well. I'd love to start collecting these books as well, but I've gotta maintain focus.
Good luck with your "quest" and be sure to post books as you get them.
Thank you I hope I'll be posting some actual purchases in August
That is exactly how I did my "research," text searching on various words in GCDB, this is a fantastic resource. I also went to dealer sites that allowed searching by genre and looked at all the titles in their crime section. I am having a lot fun with this

Good grief!!!! There are tons of these out there!!!

Yeah, but she's hot and has a gun.
(BTW, nice av Sean! )
She has a gun and she knows how to use it...
Regarding the avatar, I stole it off the web. There's an artist out there selling prints of that image. I just now realized he lifted it from the Fight 39 cover. Perhaps someone should send Ms. Renee after him.
I found that artist too, and I was really tempted to buy the print, but he wanted too much for just a print. That is a great book.

Asking to pick favorite Vampirella covers is like asking Homer to pick his favorite type of donut. I'd have to say that Issue 35 is the most intense out these latest ten. That cover is more sexually appealing than any nudity shot you'd ever see.

Mmm, Vampi and donuts...
I like those surprised look covers, something about the eyes I think, I've always liked the #40 too.

This is one of my favorite Vampi covers:
If you like that cover you should check out the original art if you haven't already here: Link
I had read that Gene collects original Vampi art, a great piece. It is somewhat similar to #27 I believe, another piece where she is looking over her shoulder and seems to be running away. I don't know why I like those so much.

Senorita Rio!
Is Senorita Rio good or bad, bad as in unlawful? I thought she was a spy or something like that? I don't know much about her. I like it though, I may get one just because she looks good.

Added it to the hunting list.

Do scissors count?
Oh yes, more bad girls, that's on my list.

Here is one I have, All True Crime #31, thanks to Bedrock City:
Isn't that a dude on the All True Crime? That's always the way I've seen it. Doesn't quite fit the femme fatale genre. Not that I wouldn't want a copy of the book. I do but ...
Is that supposed to be a guy in drag?! I guess I would have fallen for their scheme too.
-
my favorite femme fatale cover.
I've never seen that one before, that is great.

Inspired by these boards I had to get this, my favorite Planet cover. I love the woman in the bubble!! I even got a print of it and I am having it framed.
I screwed up my earlier post as I was learning to post images , let's try again:
-
Here is Murder Incorporated #1, thanks to Metro. The guy looks like he has an insect eye, but the woman is great.

This is one of my favorite Vampi covers:

So you are going to pass on that Perfect Crime? I am tempted too.
I don't want to but I might have to for now. My wife might kill me if I buy another 3 figure book already. Last month I bought a Planet 44, because I love that cover, and Murder Inc. I think I have to sit on it for little while.

I shouldn't read this thread, it's tempting me to go for Spider-mans...
