  1. Girls' Romances #133 F/VF $28 Rosenberger slays again! This is a fantastic copy that is likely better than the F/VF I put on it. SOLD!
  2. Girls' Romances #132 F- $17 In my opinion the best DC Romance cover by the best DC Romance artist. Sorry Pike fans! Rosenberger slays this with a cool, POV, Mod fashion, and a beautiful woman. SOLD!
  3. Girls' Love Stories #92 F $18 A very nice looking copy with a small stain on the back cover. SOLD!
  4. I have some more under copies that need to go to better homes. Most of these are DC, but threre are a couple Charltons as well. Almost all of the DCs are 12cent covers and range from lower to high(ish) grades, at least for 12 cent DC Romance books. Please see the rules and let me know if you have any questions. Probably will list 22-25 books. I may list in a sloth-like manner though. I will do everything I can to list everything by Sunday evening, as I'd like to ship these by late next Wednesday as I have to travel for a few days next week. 1) PayPal, checks, MOs and even cash are fine. 2) Shipping will be on the buyer. Will ship USPS Priority for bulk, 1-2 books will go First Class. Shipping from 48103. Overseas sales are ok, but you will be paying for the shipping. 3) Returns are fine within 14 days, but buyer pays return shipping. 4) No Bad Listers 5) Ridiculing the books is ok *6) The or a typed I'll take it, take it or clearly understood version MUST BE POSTED IN THE THREAD! I will do it for you if we are discussing a sale via PM, but it has to be posted in the thread by the buyer or me. If we agree on something via PM, and someone else takes it in the thread before you or I post the , that person gets the book. *Please read and understand 6). 7) Trades? Yes! If you have some DC Romance you'd like to trade, let me know what you have. If I need the issues, maybe we can work something out
  5. Did you head to AC and jump in a $1000 PLO Hi/Lo tourney as soon as you got paid?
  6. Remembered that I got 24 from @bedrockcomics. I know I got at least two books off eBay from @Topnotchman. I don’t remember the issue, but they were mid to high numbers.
  7. I still have a couple of runs I’m working on as being CGC graded goes. I made a half hearted attempt at doing Monster of Frankenstein in 9.8. Maybe I’ll pick that one back up too.
  8. The first 4 was from Florida: I’m pretty sure that’s the name as well.
  9. Yes. The entire run is fantastic. There are a few goofy points, but it has held up well in my opinion.
  10. And lastly, issue number 1. This ushered in the undead for Marvel. I consider it to be a slightly more important key than most for that reason. My first CGC comic was a ToD 1 CGC 9.0. I had sold it before starting the run knowing I wanted a higher grade anyway. At one time, it seemed like there was a #1 CGC 9.8 in every Comiclink auction. So I held out think the price would start to ease downward. Then they dried up almost overnight. There are a bunch of them now either way. @gregreece ended up putting one up for sale on the boards for a very nice price, and I jumped on it. It's a CPR, and I'm very happy with it. Because I waited so long to pull the trigger on this, I got to see many of the 9.8s out there one way or another. This book usually has horrible top to bottom registration. Some are so bad the red band above the Marvel banner is not even there. This book is the nicest I've seen in that regard. And this finishes the run. I think the weirdest acquisition was the 59. I spent a good bit for that show including travel and hotel and spent $3 at the whole show. Luckily, it graded out at 9.8. The most I have into any 1 book is actually the #2. I probably have 4-5 books in the set that I was able to pick up raw for $2-$5. Thanks for looking!
  11. Issue 2. I mentioned the former #1 set holder for issue #6. He also comes into play for issue #2. When I first started to build my set, he and I would bid against each other quite a bit. If we kept up that pace, we were going to go broke. We were both firing numbers at books that were pretty ridiculous. I finally reached out to him and asked him if he'd be willing to not chase the same book at auction if we both needed it. It actually worked out very well. The lone #2 came up for auction at Hughes with 7 or 8 nice 9.8s. He said he really wanted the 2, and I got another book we both needed. We each got 2 or 3 others that we needed. We also lost a few to a still unknown bidder. (Oddly enough, I don't remember Hughes having any auctions since then, and it seems like it's been 10 years. Anyway, when he broke up his run, he auctioned it on Heritage. I budgeted a very high number to bid between the 2 and the 6 combined. I was able to get both for about $150 less than I was going to pay. They were still expensive though.
  12. Number 3 and 4. These went without having a copy graded for years! Finally a 4 was graded and sold on eBay for $2000. There are 4 now and the most recent one sold for $104. I got mine for a fair price. Number three still only has two copies. I also was able to get mine at a decent price after two were finally graded. When there were still no copies available, I found a decent copy at WW Chicago for $7. I thought it would be a good placeholder as a 9.2 until something better came along. Joey pressed it and it came back a 9.6 White! Not bad for $7. It's been sold for a while though.
  13. Issue number 5. Issue... number... five. The last piece of the puzzle. It just came in the mail today. Again, @Ghostzapper makes another appearance by finding out a friend of his had one of the three out there and brokered a deal for it. I have had several opportunities to get one of these over the years. From the get go, a dealer had one on his web site. I thought it was a bit too high and passed. It was eventually auctioned, and, well, let's just say I didn't win it. Then greggy had a copy of 1, 5, and 6 graded from a stash he found. I don't remember why we didn't work something out, but I didn't get that one either. One ended up in the #2 set holder's collection, but the other two didn't show up for 6 or 7 years to my knowledge. It wasn't in a ToD registry set, nor a picture frame set that I could find. They were just locked away somewhere. Ghostzapper got in touch with me remembering I needed it, and got a deal done! He is truly the comic concierge!
  14. Issue 6- there are a few of these out there, but it took forever to get one. I just never saw any come up for sale or at auction. I found a very nice raw copy at MCCC a few years ago, but it came back 9.6 W. When the former #1 set holder finally broke up his set, I was able to get it... and paid for it.
  15. Issues 9, 8, and 7. Although these aren't all that common, I was able to get each of these fairly early while putting the set together. I don't remember anything particularly interesting about getting them.
  16. Ok, here are the last 10, starting with #10. Obviously, this has become the biggest book in the run, even more than #1. I had a CGC 9.2 for a while, so I actually bided my time on this one. It came up for auction on Heritage, and I think bidders must have fallen asleep on it. I was very happy paying what I did. I continued to receive offers through Heritage from potential buyers until I finally let them know it wasn't for sale.
  17. Issues 12 and 11 Dracula vs. Bikers. It should have been a movie.
  18. Issues 17, 16, 15, 14 Issue 16 is my favorite cover of the run.
  19. Issue 18, great WWBN crossover. Fantastic art on this one, and even better art on the WWBN #15 by Ploog.
  20. Issues 21, 20, 19 Funny story about the 20. When there were maybe 6 9.8s, I had two of them. I bought one and had one graded. I decided to auction one on ebay, thinking I'd get maybe $150-$200+ for it. All 4 previous sales on GPA had been $200+. It sold for $52.
  21. Issue 22. Here is where @KingOfRulers makes his first appearance. This book was on that had zero 9.8s when I started. It showed up in one of KoR's sales threads, but I didn't see it until several days after it was posted. I was surprised it was still there being the only copy graded and he had a fair price on it as well. I actually made him an offer and he discounted it a little bit. There are only 3 copies at 9.8 currently.
  22. Issue 26, Western Penn copy. Bought this at auction at Heritage. Was a bit surprised it didn't go for more at the time. I think there were one or two copies at the time. Now there are 7.
