So started working on a scraping solution. Does anyone know the science behind the the Cert numbers?? I think it would be helpful on how they come up with these Cert numbers. It doesn't seem to just be in order. Also CGC blocks you from the Verify page after a few searches. So compiling all the data would take fooooooorever without using a Proxy server that changes every so amount of searches :/

It’s your submission number followed by line number

I'm a very new to grading cards in general, when reviewing the "CGC Services & Fees Section" it mentions Max Value per item under each specific grading tier. I'm asking for clarification on what this means since it could mean that the level tier will only grade cards with a maximum value of XYZ for the card or that it will assign a maximum value of XYZ depending on the grading tier. As you can see I'm not sure what it means, so I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks

Essentially you're declaring the maximum value on the item, after it's been graded, for insurance purposes. Each tier only grades up to a certain value. Like Mike said if you have $300 card it would need to go in the Economy submission or higher. Also CGC has an idea of what things are worth, you're not gonna submit a 1st ed Base Set Charizard and say it's only worth $100, they'll more than likely call/email you for revisions.

    How were ur grades @GhostyToasty

    I got a ton of 9s and 9.5s some 8s 8.5s a couple low grades but I knew it .. but I'm super stoked!!!

Right there in the same boat with you @C1one
I'm just glad nothing came back green labeled or below an 8 except for 3 cards from the Team Rocket set which I was expecting 6s on. However they came back 7.5s and 8, so I'm stoked about it.

Remember when we sent these in there was a massive influx of stimulus submissions and psa just shut down...

    Mine was delivered 3/26

    Received: 5/26

Been In G/E/I for roughly 2 1/2 months

I called in they said my cards were graded on 11/13, and was moving to encapsulation....I called in concerned with how long it was in G/E/I ... this week on Monday they said it went into que for encapsulation..

Fingers crossed we get our stuff back soon.

I have a 60 card bulk submission, 8 of which have subgrades that was received on October 15th. When could I realistically expect to get them back? My current estimation is some time in July but I'm curious if anyone else has a better idea. Thanks!

The best thing to do is go based off the Turnaround times on the submissions page. No one can honestly give you a realistic turnaround other than CGC.

you were right, since my submission was so old the system was trying to charge new subgrade rates and it wasn't matching my submission. so the whole thing just sat in limbo. for over a month. I wonder at what point they would have let me know there was an issue, or if they'd just keep everything forever

I called the second mine hit G/E/I and the system was going to charge me the new rate instead of the old rate and not give me the grading credit. They immediately fixed it on the spot. The accounting team, when you're talking to them, is on point.

Have a Standard submission delivered 4/2 that has yet to be marked received (32 days) and an Express submission delivered 4/24 that has yet to be marked as received (10). Sighhhh

Also you're counting weekends. Can't do that with CGC. Only count business days (M-F). Also my submission that was delivered on March 23 still hasn't been marked as received. So buckle in for a fun ride.
