  1. Hello, first of all - Wow how awesome is it to be grading Cipher cards.

I do have a serious inquiry though. If/When would it be possible for CGC to grade Cipher Marker cards? Those cards that is mostly artwork and very little text. I think its very important to be grading those as the marker cards are some of the most valuable and collectable parts in that TCG

Marker cards have the same card backing as normal cipher cards and should be easily localized as each card does have the character name in small text on the lower left of the card.

  2. I'm not taking sides with eBay or PWCC. But here are my observations against ebay. (I could have observations against PWCC but thats not for this post)

PWCC has started the premier auctions (very high end collectables) on their own website, and not using eBay.

And they have already been building up their in house platform because they always wanted to be independent of eBay.

eBay of course knows all this. So WHY NOT try to tarnish PWCC's reputation while they still can, after all, eBay is a direct competetor to PWCC.

    Just food for thought.

    P.S.

Shill bidding ALWAYS existed in EVERY platform, modern day shill bidding was probably invented on eBay.com as a whole.

I totally understand that CGC would want to protect their brand. Just seems like they need better quality control or even change up the slabs again and make sure they are total sealed and can't be popped open so easily even tho this is the second time I've seen a clean opening like this one. So I'm gonna assume this is very rare.

But back to my main point. That's like telling people they can't use usps boxes to ship thing through ups or FedEx. Once those boxes get into my hands, they are my property and I can use or do what I want with them. Same goes with these slabs. I paid for the grading service and slabs once they get back into my hands I can do whatever I want with them. Sell them, trade them, break open the cases and sell the labels it doesn't matter.

I am not providing legal advice or suggestions. Just laying words out here.

HomeGrownPoke1 is correct here about the USPS boxes.

The person legally responsible for using the USPS boxes in the correct manner is the person who ORIGINALLY ORDERED the boxes or ORIGINALLY TAKEN the boxes from the post office. You click an agreement on the USPS website and the verbiate is presented at the post office where you would obtain the boxes.

Once the box is used in its intended manner. The USPS actively encourages recycling the box, which also means reuse it in some manner OR to discard the box (As it is weaker)

Now, the USPS and any other carrier could easily deny service to someone using an already used USPS box. But there is no legal repercussion to someone re-using a previously correctly used box.

This is a fancy way of saying CGC didn't inform their head of Public Relations about a huge update that would effect quite a few of the beforementioned Public.

He said he was not informed, and apologized. Then he went ahead to explain the update. We are well aware of what kind of impact that had over this forum the last week or so.

    What's so Fancy about that?

  5. Hello, I already had a submission order completed before the price increase. Was waiting for my card savers to arrive. It finally did.

But was wondering if I could make another brand new submission with the new higher prices, and then ship both the previous submission and this new submission in the same box. Is that acceptable? And will the old submission still qualify for the old prices that way?

    Thanks!
