@CGC Mike When did they revert back to pay up front policy? With the increased turnaround times they put that on hold so that people wouldn't have funds tied up for a year. I remember Paul S. confirmed that awhile ago.

my 6/25 bulk (219 cards no sub-grades) is in Quality Control/Finalized since 4 days ago. Yours should be there hopefully soon!

Edit- My 6/25 order just went from Quality Control/Finalized to Grading/Quality Control - and my 7/2 bulk order (63 no subs) just went from G/E/I to Grading/Quality Control...odd

Edit #3: 6/25 bulk order just shipped. Who said CGC doesn't give 10's? lol

Bro, Your card grader must have been a female named phoebe. LOL. this is a 100% biased grade. All jokes aside, congrats on the 10.

Where can I get a stronger box for my graded cards I currently have 30 and they're just sitting in a priority shipping box.

At Harbor Freight I get the Pelican Style Hard Plastic Cases with Foam inside. They usually have them on sale and they are indestructible. If you get the large case you can store a bunch of slabs safe and secure. They are the best. Good luck to you buddy

    Hello,

Payment is due upon receipt of your items not upon completion.  We do state this in our terms and conditions here:

    image.png

CGC Service Terms and Conditions | CGC (cgccomics.com)

Depending on how quickly your invoice is entered and initially processed, the time frame for accounting to run those charges can vary slightly but generally, you will see charges run before your invoice goes into grading.  When you select pressing and grading both then you will see the pressing fees charged first and then grading fees will not be charged until the invoice moves from CCS to CGC.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thank you!

Thank you for the clarification. This is my first sub with comics / mags. I am excited to see how it goes.

  5. @Jennifer F. I was also charged in December with no notice of what I was being charged for. No e-mail or heads up as to what the charge was for. It turns out it was for a submission that I sent in October. I don't even have a order number for it yet and they charged me already. I still have to wait a year or so to get my submission back. Is it normal for them to charge before it gets processed. I know with cards they charge the card when they are all done grading and getting ready to ship your submission back. Can you fill me in please? Is it different with Comics and Mags?

  7. Sent 54 cards I inspected to be 10's, going by PSA standards. This was a test sub. I didn't care what cards they were (just ultra rare or better) I was trying to go for 10's.

    Received 6/14

    shipped 12/14

ISO Star Wars Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi cards and stickers.

    Hi Carnage,

Here are some of the Star Wars cards that I pulled out of storage. I know it is impossible to tell what I have in there but let me know if this is what you are looking for. Message me if this looks like something you want to dive into. Thanks.

I emailed a CGC worker that someone referred me to and I was told by them that my cards are graded but they are waiting to be encapsulated. There is apparently an issue in that department and they are behind on actually slabbing the cards. My bulk order was received 6/29 and has been in G/E/I for about a month and a half.

    New issue; different day..

awesome news. My 6/10 bulk order still in g/e/i, so looks like they are on the week of 6/4 - 6/9 right now for bulk orders!

My 6/14 bulk w/ subs order shipped to me over a month ago. I have another 6/14 Bulk no subs that has been in GEI for 2½ months and hasn't moved. They are all over the place in turnaround times. So don't hold your breath.

    I admit when I am wrong - and I suppose I was!

My 4/30 CGC Bulk went from g/e/i to Grading/QC for ONE Business day- THEN SHIPPED!

Maybe it is FIFO - their updates on status' just lack a bit - which is perfectly fine with me!

    Thanks CGC~

Not FIFO, my 6/14 sub came back to me last week. My 5/4 sub hasn't moved for two months and is still in G/E/I. They're all over the place. No reason my 6/14 should've come back before my 5/4 if FIFO was in full working mode.

hwhat. Your BULK from 6/14 shipped TODAY? Theres still people with April & May subs (like myself) that are in G/E/I..

Yeah my 6/14 shipped today. I checked my account looking to see if my 5/4 entered quality control yet and I was surprised to see the 6/14 sub shipped. I never saw it go into Quality Control. I still have two bulk subs from Early May in G/E/I. They went into g/e/i a month before my june sub, which, were only in g/e/i for not quite 2 weeks. I don't understand their process anymore. Definitely not first in first out.

That's a CSG order not CGC. That's why I stated it in the original post to avoid confusion. It was just in reference to them billing way in advance, and getting a different story every time I ask for a timeframe on it returning.

CGC order delivered the same day hasn't moved since then.

Oh I see. Thanks for clarification. Last I saw CGC bulk from April was getting a lot of attention and finalization. Was worried mine got passed up, but I think we are good.  Thanks again.

Exactly the way I feel. I rent tables at card shows, sell a lot at on eBay, etc. Really me up renting tables when I'm told one thing and the reality is vastly different. Been sitting on this order for ages, when initial time was 80 days. Was billed in June, told August, then told September, now it's rolled past that as well. Sitting at 123 business days as of today. This is CSG. CGC order still has a long way to go.

I really don't like being billed 2 months in advance when we're talking about $1k.

When did your bulk enter GEI? I am  happy to see bulk moving along. I have two bulk subs that were received almost one month ahead of yours that are still in scheduling. Did yours just move?

When I spoke on the phone to Accounting, it sounds like they have to manually go into each order with the old subgrade price and change each line to the correct price before billing, which it seems like got skipped on yours. Just give them a call, tell them your order number, and they should fix it pretty quick.

I have no doubts they will correct it. I am going to call them. I do not understand the lack of technology in their billing. The system is rigged to change past invoices to the current more expensive price. To me that is not ethical. They have to know that a good percentage of their customers are not going to notice it. In my business, I can pull up a customers past invoices and see what they paid 2, 10 or even 20 years ago. It does not automatically update their past bills to the current market rates. So, why does CGC's billing system do that? I am uber confused on this one. Change a price, change the invoices to the new price, manually correct the higher price to the lower price on each invoice, hope we see and fix every overcharged invoice, if we don't who cares most wont notice. That's what I'm getting here.

I am very sorry about that. You should definitely contact FedEx.

    Paul

Was looking at my receipt from CGC to see what the shipping cost was so that I can open a claim against FedEx and noticed that CGC charged me $10 per sub-graded card. When I submitted the price was $4.50 per card as stated on my invoices from 7 months ago. I was wondering why my bill seemed higher than expected. I guarantee CGC is overcharging a lot of customers this way. People pay close attention to your bill. I would have never figured it out if I didn't go to look at my shipping cost. I can't imagine how much additional revenue they are making from this. They are probably laughing at us with each passing day.
