8.0±0.5 barring issue on the inside or additional creases that aren't visible. The two corners of the front cover appear to have some light, small color breaking creases. Is that a crease or tear above the CO in 'MARVEL COMICS GROUP'? Some small stress marks around the staple that I don't think come into play since it's <9.4. Otherwise very nice copy.

I don't have the book in hand right now but I think it's a crease. The inside looks good. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the link. What I'm wondering is if there is any way to buy the bags and boards without buying the whole shipping kit. I know they are not BCW bags and boards, because they are a different size. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows what brand they are, so that I can try to find that brand on Amazon or somewhere else. Thanks again

  3. Does anyone happen to know what brand of bags and boards that CGC uses for their shipping kit? Last year I got a free kit for my membership and liked the way that they fit my silver age comics. However, it doesn't seem the kit is offered with a membership this year, so I would like to buy the bags and boards from another company if possible if I were able to figure out the brand. Thanks for any help you can give!

Bottom LEFT corner?  Looks like bottom right to me.

If you are going to have it cleaned and pressed, I would think either of those processes would solve the potential problem.

    Oops...yeah bottom right...edited.

Yes, I would definitely have it cleaned and pressed and was wondering if that would be enough to solve the problem. Thanks for your input!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but my first impression is that it is just some compacted debris or maybe ink transfer from a book it was sitting on top of.  It looks like something on the surface that can be wiped off. I just don't think it is mold based on how white the paper looks.

If it is mold, you should definitely not encapsulate it until you are sure it is dead. Otherwise, it could continue to grow in the case since it is not air tight.

Do you happen to know how to ensure it's dead in a way that's safe for the comic? Thanks for your input!
