Yeah this is not acceptable they charge us enough as is to skimp out on the packaging.

I wouldn't exactly call it a loophole because you are paying a higher price for that express card and the express card will be shipped separately which adds an additional cost to your submission. If you're okay with all that, I guess you could "cut the line" by paying for it.

Even by CGC standards I'm a bit baffled they are still opening mail from 3/22. I think they have been stuck on that week for 3 weeks now.
-
some people say yes, others say no, there's no clear answer really. I think for valuable cards they are usually worth getting but I wouldn't bother for anything below $100.

Instead of being opened in 1-2 weeks, your package is going to sit unopened for like 2 months. That's the difference.

the box you sent via mail carrier has to be opened by a CGC employee before it can even be marked as received.

Also this is probably a stupid question and already answered but are turnaround times based on date delivered by USPS or does the clock start once its marked as received by CGC?
Once it's received by CGC.

I would be curious to hear how many packages typically get opened in a day - is it something like 300? Or 500? Or am I totally off base?
