  1. What's the best way to remove the color touch and hopefully get a blue label?  I only see one spot (right below "AUG") and wonder what would happen if that green coloring were black or blue pen?  Then it wouldn't be considered restoration, and the hit to the grade might not be much?  It was cleaned and pressed before submission, so probably not a lot of room to increase the grade by pressing.

    Any thoughts?

  2. I decided to send a bunch of comics off for pressing and grading this Spring. I sent the first group in April to a well respected but slow presser and am still waiting for them to get to mine. I sent another batch to a different presser in early July. Still waiting for these to reach the top of the pile at this presser too.

Mid-July I decided to send another batch and this time used Punch Comics. Lots of communication and the 8 week estimate turned out to be six weeks. Part way through the process I thought about a Star Wars #1 that I had graded about 5 years ago before I knew pressing existed and got a 9.6. I decided to add this to my Punch Comics order and hope for 9.8. The increase in value from a 9.6 to 9.8 on this book made it seem like a risk worth taking. The pictures I got back were amazing, and even better I have the grade already!

The rest of by books from Punch Comics should be graded soon, but from the before and after pressing shots I am sure they will do well.

I hope to have as good of results from the two batches I sent to other pressers, but so far they are still sitting in a pile somewhere.

It's the cover to Star Fighters #2, which was published in 1979 by Ken Landgraf's Landgraphics.  The cover to the first issue was Landgraf pencils (flagrantly swiped from DC Special Series' Jonah Hex Spectacular) and Adams inks.

Interesting.  In the same box I had a copy of Starfighters #1, but not #2.  Any suggestions on how to list this for sale, or what a reasonable price would be?
