Here are the rules.  Please read them carefully.

Any board member is allowed to participate.  There will be four rounds—the first three rounds of 5 books each, then a final round of 5 books for those who score in the top ten.  After the deadline for the signup thread has ended, I will start a new thread in the hey buddy can you spare a grade section, scans of the first 5 books will be posted, and I will start a PM thread between myself and each participant.  Be sure to use THIS PM thread to submit your grades every round. I will post a list for the books with each round.   Please copy and paste that list into our PM, and add the grades for each book.  Only CGC grades (numerical) will be accepted.  Non CGC grades like fine+ or Very fine- will not be accepted.

You will have 3 days to get your grades in.  After I record your grades, I will reply to the PM thread so you know that your grades have been recorded.  Please do not bump the PM for any reason other than submitting your grades. Do not discuss your grades with others until the round is closed.  Also, please do not ask any questions about the books publicly or privately.  If I am provided any special notes from CGC, I will share them in the thread.  Due to the scoring format, if anyone fails to submit their grades for a round, their participation in the contest will be terminated.

After the 3 days are up and the round is closed, I will post scans of the books in CGC holders to reveal their grades, and a new thread will be started to show the results of each participant.  Then, there will be a new thread started for the next round.

After the third round, The participants who score in the top ten will qualify for the final round, which will begin shortly thereafter. Scans of the last five books will be posted, and the participants of the final round will have 3 days to PM their grades to me. At the end of 3 days, the final grades and scores will be posted, and the winner revealed. If all participants submit their grades sooner than 3 days, the round will close early.

0 points is the best score one can achieve.  1 point will be added to your score for each grade that is higher or lower than the actual grade.    If the actual grade for the book is 5.0 and you guess 4.0, your score for that book is 2.  If the actual grade for the book is 5.0 and you guess 6.0, your score for that book is 2.  If the actual grade for the book is 5.0 and you guess 5.0, your score for that book is 0.

CGC will be donating $500 of free grading credit to the pool of prizes.  Other donations are welcome and appreciated.  I will start a prize thread.  The first place winner will get first pick, second place winner will get second pick, and it will continue down the line for the ten finalists, until all prizes have been chosen.  If there are more than 10 prizes, the prize picking will start over with the first place winner making a second pick, and continue down the line again until all prizes have been chosen.  Unless specified differently, it will be assumed that your donation includes shipping regardless of where the recipient lives.

    I'm in. Thanks
