  1. For the curious...auction estimates she gave on the ‘Tec was $200-$250k, while Action could fetch $175k -$225k.
  2. New episode of Antique Roadshow tonight featured celebrity collections including that of musician Reuben Blades who is an avid comic book collector. In addition to owning restored copies of Detective 27 and Action 1, he had tons of amazing original art. I’m not seeing any clips online yet - but here are a few photos...
  3. I’ve often found comic “books” listed as “books” on eBay as well. Their search is such a POS at times (i.e. redirects, no ability to set sort default or US sellers only, etc.). I swear, they haven’t updated the site since the 1900s.

  5. Don’t worry fellas, this bubble will burst any day now
  6. This backstory reads like the comic book version of the Disaster Artist and Tommy Wiseau....”Oh hi Mark.”
  7. LMK when Boris the Bear or Fish Police start to land on people’s radar (I figure card collectors will splurge for anything)
  8. Yup! One guarantee w/ keys and the stock market...they’ve always gone up 💪
  9. Agree. If he’s on the cover it’s likely a different story.

  11. I knew all those Spawn 1s would be the eventual downfall of our hobby
